    Beautiful piece buddy. Did you design and machine it your self or was this something you picked up for somewhere. If this is your creation, wow amazing work. If not, thats superb quality. I like very much. :)

    What is the difference between the currie axles, and the other axles sold on the vanquish website? Which one is better?

  • @irockrc

    @irockrc

    9 жыл бұрын

    Besides the price and the attention to detail. The stock vp axles is a one piece where the currie vp axles are 4 piece. Currie axles come with a rock jock delrin skid plate to protect the axles. It's possible to do a 3 link and panhard bar conversion with the Currie vp axles. Just to name a few. Hope that helps Stratton and thanks for Watching! Stratton Foster

    Ok thanks for the reply, so the currie axles is pretty much for looks no performance increase? I think i will just get the regular vanquish axles because they are cheaper

    Just sweet! A Currie Axle is the next on my list for my Yeti but cant make a decision, which color to choose. This is gunmetal right? May I ask another question, are the screws for the dif cover metric? Thanks! Hang Loose

  • @irockrc

    @irockrc

    9 жыл бұрын

    These currie axles are gunmetal but vanquish products list them as grey. The screws for the diff cover are metric. The reason why I choose grey so people can distinguish them as currie axles and not the stock axles. Good luck with whatever decision you decide. You'll be happy with these axles I know I am. Thanks for watching EVO! EVO

    Let me ask two stupid questions,is that axle housing metal or plastic and my other question is can you put differential fluid in those axles?I'm not new to the rc world but I am new to the rock crawler community.I'm really starting to get into to it.I liked your video,keep up the good work.Thumbs up on this video.

  • @irockrc

    @irockrc

    The axle housing is made out of aluminum. You can put differential fluid but I wouldn't recommend it. I prefer to use ceramic or marine grease. Hope that helps William & thanks for watching! William Santiago

    can you explain how my kind sir

  • @irockrc

    @irockrc

    9 жыл бұрын

    Basically you need two of the same side of the stock Scx10 housing. The side where you install the bevel gear and output shaft. You install the bevel gear and output shaft on each side and on one side you install the locker. Put the two sides together. Make sure you smooth out the groves so you get a flush mount. Install your lockouts and screws like you would do it on a normal Scx10 housing. That is why it is important you smooth out the edges where the two sides meet so you can install the lockouts with ease. The end result you should have one Scx10 housing with two output shafts. This axle housing should be your middle axle housing. Hope that helps my friend!
