The thing I love about remote stoves is that with a small adaptor you can use both canister and cassette stove gas, giving fuel options. Some parts of the world it is hard to get canisters, but easy to get cans for a cassette stove. The cans for the cassette stove are also about half the price.

I enjoyed the momentary facial expressions you insert to "say" something; they put a smile on my face. I also appreciate your not telling people at the top of the video to push the like button and subscribe. Instead you politely and appropriately ask us to push the thumbs up / like button at the end of the video. I first came to your channel (and ended up subscribing) when searching for videos on the Trangia (for emergency cooking). Although not a backpacker or even a camper at my age of 74, I find your videos educational and entertaining because of your pleasant, upbeat style of communication. Now regarding the cost of all these stoves, you can tell your wife she can be proud of you for how you serve the public even to the point of providing a service to senior citizens like me.😊 Thanks!

Ok, this stove arrived today and I did my own boil test. First of all I used an adapter for propane use. For the pot I used the Optimus Terra Weekend HE (heat exchange.) The outside temp was 57 degrees with 19 mph wind gust. Here are my timed results for a rolling boil. 16oz water took 35 seconds and 24oz came in at 1 minute and 1 second. This stove is a beast!

I bought this stove off E-bay last year for $16.00. Now they more than doubled in price, wish I gotten two of them. Worked great at 9,000 ft elevation with 70 degree temp. I itching to see how well it performs at a 12,000 ft elevation and a 58 degree temp. I enjoyed watching your review, it was cool ! BRS Stoves aren't bad at all. Peace !

Hello Ernie... I picked one of these up for 'hopefully' fulfilling a budget-friendly stove that might be a high-value/low-cost, robust and compact enough single-burner option for outfitting folks on river floats. Occasionally you'll find a customer that may not wish to rent or purchase our higher-end stoves, maybe getting into stoves and want something user-friendly/cost-saving, or a small extra just in case. I liked the overall construction, stability, and simplicity. My findings so far are underpowered, not good at all in wind (I can blow this stove out easily) and the liquid to vapor copper tube feature might just be there for looks (after repeated try and up to temp in standard upright canister burn times... inverting canister causes massive flare-ups) Curious what your findings are? The product indicates a no return policy... so might help folks out knowing this stuff. Thank you for your thoughts and time. I look forward to your reply.

I bought the BRS-11 for Christmas, and I'm puzzled by the performance. For its first use I tried boiling a quart of water to make soup. I had a new propane can and the appropriate adapter. Everything started off fine, but after a minute I needed to open the valve further. I had to continue to open the valve incrementally to keep the flame set to a mid-way setting. Then all at once my adjustments caught up and the burner kicked into a higher gear. In this state of higher flow rate the stove began pulsing like a top fuel dragster getting staged for a race. I shut the stove off and moved my pot to the kitchen stove to finish the water. After this I noticed the BRS-11 valve body was cold. Is there a special trick to the stove or is this normal? Are these camping stoves intended to be run either full-on or off? Is the valve getting cold doing something to the gas flow rate? At this point I'm wondering if I should try another one from Amazon or try a different style. I liked this one because it was sooo stable and could handle large and small pots without issue, and it keeps the cooking profile lower. I'm clumsy, and I can't cook on top of a narrow tower.

I got this on the back of the review and reference to the pre-heater tube as a possible lighter replacement for my Bulin. Yes its lighter and more stable but its a weird conical shape packed. The big downside is that the puny pre-heater does not support inverted canister unlike the Bulin with its massive in-flame pre-heater. Going to keep the Bulin despite its extra weight and folding legs. There are as good wind resistant stoves out there at half the price.
