If you look closely that rubber mat was not all the way under the entire quick jack making it not evenly flat, it wasn’t the humidity or heat it was simply poor placement of the jacks it was just enough offset for any tug to rock the jack as it did

Agreed. I have a quickjack, the ZL1 add-ons adapters and an ats-v (same basic chassis). This was user error all the way. When properly used, the quickjack should actually be safer and more stable, especially on cars like this that don't have proper lifts points for both jacking the car up and then setting it on stands.
I think it's nice to have others who appreciate more of a "tuned" sounding exhaust that is deep and adds actual performance than an obnoxiously loud raspy exhaust that could be heard miles away. Good to hear the family is doing well, and glad to hear you didn't die this past week! Many Blessings.
Glad you had those stands! Man that was scary!!
You should add a mini split a/c to your garage. Only use it when you working in the garage. Just an idea 🤷🏻♂️

My dad has a minisplit in his garage. 80 in the summer, 50 in the winter. 80 degrees with no humidity is surprisingly cool when it's 100 outside.
So glad you’re ok we’re not quite done with you yet on this earth! This is a great reminder to use the jack stands
As always man we love the content. Keep it coming, keep up the mods 🤟🤙
This video is very wholesome. Car looks and sounds amazing. Great video!
Those lifts and jack stands should NOT be on rubber mats. They need a solid surface. Lay down a 3/4 inch or better sheet of plywood if you need to protect the floor.

Sounds great! Love these videos.
O shit! That would have ended badly for me with my luck! Glad your ok, and the exhaust, 🤌🏼 perfect
Always great videos Can't wait for the next one
I have AWE track edition but for my 17 5.0 and honestly I always get complements on it and its just so loud it pops and crackles best exhaust you made the right choice
Besides the scare that you had I’m glad you made it out! The Camaro sounds so much better! And the exhaust looks amazing. This made me decide on going the same exhaust
Another great video my Braddah 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Awesome choice 👏 Sounds amazing 💥💥💥💯
The exhaust... NICE. Also, glad you're ok :)
Thats just ridiculous and badass congrats on being alive and enjoying that badboy
Awesome sound man. I thought it sounded good stock but the after blew me away.
Like the majority of comments, I'm just glad you are alive to talk about it after the fact.
Wow that was lucky! I have the same AWE exhaust and also LOVE, LOVE it! Mine sounds even better with a stage 4 cam! Looking forward to the new spoiler install.
Damn... that is crazy loud. Glad you're safe and not squished.
Glad your alive and unharmed. Stay safe brother 🤙🏼
Awesome sound !
Hearing them eagles scream is awesome. Perfect exhaust set up fits the car just right.
I have a set of those quick Jacks. I have had zero issues with them and had them for the past five years. My Dad's 65 mustang he used to have sat on them for a good 2 or 3 months straight and never had anything be a concern. But anything can happen. Glad your safe and bad ass camaro!
Glad you were saved by the stands. I looked at a lot of options for my home shop to lift cars, including QuickJacks, and in the end went with a full-sized, ALI certified, lift.
It sounds amazing! Great job and choice of exhaust. Love the black tips too!

Exhaust by far the best👌👌
The best mod I did on my C7... AWE exhaust..... it sounds awesome!!
Same thing happened to me with my crew cab gmc Sierra while rotating my tires. But I wasn’t under it. Crushed the jack stands and the jack. Harbor freight jack stands and aluminum jack. Upgraded to 6 ton jack stands and 3 ton steel jack now. 😂👍
Kooooool Braddah!!🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Sweet rides bro 👍🇺🇸
Sounds awesome music to my ears
I use a 2 post lift and always shake the car once it’s a few inches off the ground to make sure it’s on secure!! Glad you didn’t get hurt bud
Always Saving my life motivational..... Going through hell everyday to get by . But thanks to your motivation to post everything. Drive my goals to step up my goals, views, uploading to my channel. I have loved busting my butt all my life and now almost going on 3 years starting to post my as well .....
I got a quick hydraulic lift and I normally use that to lift my car up, as a precaution I also put a concrete block under every tire
I noticed you had a thick rubber mat under neath everything. Did that have any effect on the stability of the jacks? Close call for sure.

Yup, rubber mats and the left Quick Jack was off the edge of the mat (@6:23) at the front inside corner..... Not really sure you can blame Quick Jacks on this one....

Did the k-member recently on my fox on my quickjacks. Shook the hell out of the car those rubber blocks don't move at all if centered on them. I have to agree it's the mats those quickjacks are on.
Salute , staying safe double up with the jack stands. I have two Chevy Avalanche trucks in the air on jack stands for a while now while swapping the transmission in them. Car sounds amazing, my biggest dream car there.
Been using my Quickjacks for over three years. Never a problem and have done engine and transmission swaps. If only using the blocks provided.. I only lift from the frame. I prefer lifting from the pinch welds for more space. Quickjacks make specific pinch weld blocks. I’d highly recommend getting those. Lol
👍👍👍 gald your ok. Car sounds sick...
Glad you safe hawaiian
It sounds as good it looks.
12:53 ....... THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!
I found that out the hard way, thankfully my dad was right there, i had a bruised chest/sternum area and alot of shortness of breath
It does looks real nice🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🎯🎯🎯🎯
My dream car
Thats so scary! I have the lift jack pads and I think it takes me much longer to just make sure the lift pads and the rubber blocks are centered when i lift my camaro on the quick jack! Definitely need to ensure that the lift pads under the car are centered on the rubber blocks from the quick jacks! Glad nothing major happened and you are ok!
That was a scary shift. When and where did you place the jack stands? There are quite a few scenes of you guys going under where it appears that there no jack stands present. I didn't see any 6:22 to 6:24 nor 7:14 to 7:28 I see two in the distance down at 7:33 that are down and do not appear to be under the car and then right as the shift happens at 7:37 you can see two larger stands but it is hard to tell where they are located or if they are even under the car but they definitely are not touching the vehicle before the shift. I'm curious did the pinch weld bend over or did that contribute to issue? I have been using the QuickJack pinchweld blocks (on top of the medium blocks) for a few years and have never had an issue. But I am lifting a much lighter Miata.
Glad you're safe man. It's always scary being under a car but jack stands make the biggest difference. Quick Jacks are good but Jack Stands are better.
That would’ve effed my head up for a while. I would have had to stop for the day.
FYI I'm here from a future video about this: Quick-jack... a previously super expensive scissor lift that could lift your 4,000lb vehicle but randomly decide not to is now $3000 rather than $15,000. I priced one out years ago, and thats what the price was to barely lift my 5,000lb truck, with a max of 6,000lb lol I've been around heavy trucks before, working with my dad on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks and heavy farm equpiment. Where if it can't lift 2.5 - 3 or 4 tons via a bottle/floor/ or jackstand, we don't buy it let alone have it under a truck. I've looked again in 2023, its only $3,000 for a 7000lb "full frame" lift. Funny because my Dakota has a 131" wheelbase and thats small compared to the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks we've owned curb weight at 7000 and run up to 11,000lbs with 142" WB.
I watched this video in its entirety and I'm still in shock at 7:40

Just recently got a used 2018 ZL1 and loving your channel. What made you pick the AWE over the Borla?
Chad you are awesome!!!! I kid on Christmas morning.... love your energy!!! When I installed my flowmaster on my tahoe the muffler guys told me the exhaust will get deeper in time with the heat... think that will happen with yours?
Damn that was crazy. Glad to see you and your friend are good. I’m still ordering my quick jack soon. Will or do you the flag for your channel available for sale? Keep up the great work with every vehicle. Trail boss is my next one since I have a 6.2 2013 Silverado already. Take care.
My car slipped off a jack itself while going up. I now have permanently mounted ZL1Addons pinch rail blocks and Quickjack 5000 with the extension bars.
Glad you are ok! The exhaust sounds awesome! I’m sure your neighbors are hating you 😆

holy shite... This video could help a lot of people
What type tire do you have on your truck? I’m running Toyo M/T and they are aggressive but, I’m thinking about going to a all terrain.
I can add to this.. i got AWE touring black tips for my 18 WRX and the exhaust quality is great and those diamond black double rolled tips are best quality you can get!! Now you need some reworked heads and a bigger cam!!😈
If you are near Austin let me know. Would like to hear it next to my GT3FIDDY
Do you plan to add headers to your ZL1 and do you plan to tune the car on e85?
My buddy Devin was always a car guy.. he was almost finished with his C10 twin turbo LS swap truck.. He even had a 2 ton lift in his driveway and always took precautions. Last year on Easter Sunday, his family member came over for dinner. They had an issue with their suspension. His lift had a project on it already and his driveway was full so he grabbed his floor jack and jacked up the car to take a look real quick. Something happened and the jack slipped. Car fell on him and he ended up passing away while his family was all inside having a good time. They came outside and found him dead. He should've used a jack stand along with the floor jack. He was only 34 years old. *ALWAYS USE JACK STANDS AND TAKE PROPER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS*
My father was a mechanic and he always stuck some tyres under the vehicle aside the jacks.
Yeah, I’m super paranoid, when it comes to my car falling off , I tend to keep it on jack stands if I’m under it and will also put a tire as a last resort safety measure is the car falls on that and not me
did you get a light with this set up? corsa is stating that you will need a tune with their catback system
The quick jacks should have arms that lock in. I also have a set and have had the opposite problem where they shoot up and drop one side
Happy your ok the same happened to me but with a suburban, unfortunately I did not have jackstands as a secondary, 10 out of 10 would not recommend.
I'm curious to know why you didn't choose borla exhaust?
I think you stacked the rubber block at the pinch weld mine squish a lot and are about 1-2cm from the quick jack. I tried once the stack them as they say it's possible but was scarry. I use plywood to correct not leveled floor they say it in the manual
Cool bro
It was cool seeing you at Cinemark yesterday unless I freaked out some random guy and I was wrong.
Just added long tubes to my stock mufflers, and its pretty loud now. I thought about going to this AWE touring setup but after listening to how loud this is I'm not so sure that's a good idea.
A Mini split/ductless system would be perfect for your garage it heats and cools and doesn't take alot of space
Sounds nice bro sounds good u should cam it texas cam 👀
Yea for jack stands! Btw, you should name your car Eagle…for all the bald Eagle references lol
Did you have to tune it after installing it? Did it throw any codes?
Let’s gooo
Lucky man.
Do you have any other mods? Picking up my new ZL1 1LE this weekend and want it to whine like this after break in!
That ZL1 sounds looks and is insane how do you drive a manual while recording such skill
I had the same issue with my Quick Jack, with the identical car as yours a black 2017 ZL1 m6.My issue was almost the same as yours, there is a bit of slop between the ZL1 AddOns mag pucks and the pinch weld, I was pulling on the front strut to get it out of its mount & the car shifted on the front mags pucks, then because of the cap to the pinch weld the puck fell over a bit then slipped off the rubber QJ rubber block. The car did not fall all the way off, just enough for the jack to crush the rocker panel (much better then crushing me :)). My fix, always make sure the car is level on the QJ, I used 1/8 shims to take up the gap in the mag pucks to the pinch weld in the rear, switched to QJ slotted pinch weld blocks in the rear, plus drilled the flat portion of the mag pucks and tapped it to 1/4 inch , and put in 1/4 bolts that fit into the slots in the rubber blocks. In the front I switched to ZL1 AddOn's permanent pucks that are now fixed permantly to the pinch welds & will not move, I also threaded 1/4 inch bolts into the bottom of the permanent pucks & ground the other end to a point so they dig into the QJ block a bit. Last once I have the car on the QJ I very aggressively rock the car back & forth before going underneath, a "bi of over kill" but so far after almost 4 years no issues, & I use this jack a lot. Good luck & I really enjoy your enthusiasm.

Love the recommendation. I will for sure be doing this in the near future. Love the quick jacks as well, but the blocks are now in the trash 👍🏽
