I put the AWE axle back Touring on my 2019 ZL1 1LE over 2 years ago, no check engine light ever came on, I also did the Roto Fab CAI, but big improvement on the sound with the exhaust, people think that I cammed it, but other than the 2 improvements, it's still stock.

The car sounds good

I just installed MBRP black series axle back exhaust on my 5th Gen Camaro this weekend. Using just a few drops of dawn and water definitely helps removing the muffler from the hangers. Any kind of lubrication will work.

This is the system I’ve been looking at for months. This video is gonna shape my decision in what I end up doing lol

@@jordanedwards35 it vibrates on the inside for me when first pulling off, Highway speeds it doesn’t at all. Which is weird because they say the drone is at those speeds

@@jordanedwards35 I drive 70 miles round trip a day for work, not gonna lie, the first two days I was like this is too loud, my ears didn’t feel right when I’d get to work. I also had the back seats down to get the full effect. But since, it’s seemed to quiet down some, I know part of that is probably me just getting use to it😂 but I can do it with no problem now

Thanks man! So Borlas just had a price inscrease and after months of research, a lot of people were saying MBRP and Awe were the way to go for price and sound. A few said these systems are louder and deeper. I chose AWE over MBRP because I wanted those massive tips!

Great video, I’ve been looking at AWE but debating between AWE, corsa , or mbrp witch i had on my last camaro but it was a v6. I need to pull the trigger soon.

I liked my MBRP but there was two issues one was the black tips are powder coated so a rock hit mine and made a noticeable scratch. The tip where bolt on and after some miles they work lose so had them tac welded. But other then that they made a huge difference in the sound. You its shocking the price difference between MBRP, Borla, AWE, Corsa, and a few others using the same materials. I thought Borla was expensive till I looked at Corsa.

I would highly recommend AWE. The sound you get for the price is the best. It is deep but still has that rasp to it. I love mine. I bought from phastek performance and it was free shipping and it came in 4 days.

Sounds good. So if I plan on getting an aftermarket exhaust I guess I should pass on the optional dual mode exhaust from the factory. Can I ask you why you bought the automatic instead of the 6 speed manual? I test drove a 2018 1SS with the 6 speed and the shifting was great, buttery smooth. Tremic transmission I believe.

Thanks! The AWE hasn’t disappointed, and get complements almost daily

Listened to multiple clips of Corsa and Borla and never tbought they were an improvement over the stock NPP, and at times sounded worse. The AWE is perfect though, hits the deep rones without sounding overly raspy. Hopefully they come out with an NPP compatible system in the future, it would probably get me flagged at track days for being too loud.

Hopefully you reply back man but did you lose any low end torque after installing the new exhaust? I have a 2020 SS as well but i want to go dumps on my exhaust but I have seen that it can cause loss of low end torque that’s why I don’t know what to do lol

@@cyrusgreidanus1560 this exhaust doesn’t have the npp valves so changing the mode will only change the engine gearing. Nothing pops up. If you have npp exhaust stock right now, make sure to pull the fuse 51, I have a video of it on the channel. Pulling the fuse will stop those from opening and closing. So if you do have that exhaust stock at the moment, pull the fuse before installing this one because this one doesn’t have npp valves. By doing so you avoid check engine light

Quick question i am about to do this install the chain cutter do i need 1 that cuts stainless steal i was just gonna buy 1 off amazon.....most say dont cut stainless are the pipes stainless?

I believe they are low grade stainless steel. I always rented mine from autozone/oriellys etc and never had any issues. I never read the box of the tool to see if they mentioned the same.. but they all got the job done quickly with clean cuts

@@dominickp2057 you’re welcome, make sure to open the box and make sure the tool is in good shape, first one I rented was broke, and they had another one in the back. You get your money back also when you bring it back so it’s a win win!

is pulling the fuse only mandatory for automatic variants of the SS / npp exhaust? I ordered the same axle back i have 6 swpeed and the AWE rep said all i need to do is plug the thing and it wont throw a code?

First few days there was some at lower rpm’s but hardly any at all now

so it’s MUCH louder than a muffler delete?

How long was the shipping

Did you have to do anything with the active exhaust plug? Did you just tape it? I just bought this exhaust for my 23’ SS

@@Scottalexx_LT1 fuse controls the valves, make sure to pull it before unplugging your npp plugs cause it’ll throw a code

@@theshocker_guy5966 supposedly the website is wrong. There was some confusion due to changes to GM trucks and suvs and they automatically thought these changes were applied to Camaros as well. I’ve talked to a few people that have it and it works. Just recently seen some screenshots on a group where someone was in contact with the range founder, and they verified it does work, if I was them I’d be updating that site
