Avon & Somerset Police HQ

What is going on everybody, this is TGA, and in today's video, we visit the Avon & Somerset Police HQ, so, we've done quite a lot of videos of Avon & Somerset Police, with more to come that we haven't uploaded yet, some really good, and some really bad encounters with them as a force, hope you enjoy this one, I believe they were pretty decent, and overall respected my right to film in public.

    I love how you kept on moving, really kept her on the back foot and defused any opportunity for questioning or "guidance" (she seemed reasonable but I'm jaded enough to say it was only a matter of time before there was fishing and attempt at authority).

    great work, polite but firm. No details given despite her pressing. They don't like giving their shoulder numbers ! Top notch 🙂

    You need to put a big sign on the camera saying, I AM FILMING, as they never seem to know what someone with a camera is doing. It's good to help.

    youd think by now with their so called powers of deduction that a man with a camera will probably be photographing and filming.

    Auditors need to start taking calls on the phone halfway through a conversation with police with a "just a second" and make them stand and wait. They do this so many times to auditors on these type of vids, it's just plain rude and shows the disregarded they treat the public with.

  • @festivitycat

    @festivitycat

    Presumably the "just a second" was because she had a police matter more urgent to deal with than chatting with someone legally filming in a public place, not sure how that is being rude.

    @@festivitycat Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but I will assume not, sorry if you are. By your flawed deductive logic she then should have never been distracted pointlessly chatting to random members of the public for no reason and by implied threat making them participate.

    She’s not ‘required’. It’s part of Police policy but there’s no “requirement” in legal terms as there would be for a member of public who had committed an offence.

    I was interested so had a look. A&S don't operate their own helicopter as it's all consolidated to NPAS which has a budget of £ 42M a year with each helicopter costing around £ 2.5M fully loaded with optics (unsure if they lease or own their fleet which includes helis and planes).
