Apparently my gloves are now multitools. I just have to constantly take them off and put them on so people think I am up to no good.

Hilarious, because I've encountered many of these kinds of situations while hiking along trails. I mean, I know we geocachers look strange to many as we poke around bushes and pine trees, but imagine being someone posing in doggy style right smack dab in the middle of a bike trail. I'd definitely rather be a geocacher, for sure.

I always wondered what happened to him. When I got to one of the trailheads there were officers on foot responding, but I wasn't wasting my time to see what happened. Just a whacky 1-mile stretch of that trail.

Got no context for what any of this means, so it's really funny to see this video appear next a video about the Norman conquest.

Funny, I was hoping the geocaching tag and adding muggles to the title would keep it in our little geocaching world. And here I was thinking KZread was just starting to get its algorithm in order.

"your caching gloves look like ' strangling' gloves." That must be what the Normans are thinking.

I was instantly angry when seeing that large group blocking the path; I think I probably need to be around people more and re-learn the more genteel social traits, haha! One even apologized but it didn't look like they had any intentions of moving.

I did come up with a solution that I was too puss to put in the video: I had recorded audio of a police scanner, chock full of bleeps, key-ups and operators saying things like "suspect southbound on..." and I would play it on loop on my funtime external speaker while riding certain parts of the trail. It worked like a charm. Regular citizens and scofflaws alike got out of the way when they heard that. Hell, some people would casually try and hide their faces when they heard it. I got a little worried that it could be interpreted as pretending to be the police, which I am 90% positive is a felony in PA. I didn't have anything else going on, no badges or signs or the like, but I still worried that putting it casually in a video would be kinda stupid.

@@Skimbosh That is brilliant! And I can imagine the immediate effect. I get the caution; better safe than sorry, as you never know.

Thank you Skimbosh for verbalizing what us family-friendly channels can only think. 😂 Passive agressive journal entries for the win. But to not include even a single cache? For shame!

It's amazing that people think they can just campout right on a trail like that. :O Thankfully, I haven't had issues like what you did with that freaky guy that was passed out on the trail. Holy crap!

He just really LOVES the trail. I've actually seen him before, hauling bits of copper that I am pretty sure was stolen. Take it to the junkyard that happens to be right off the trail, get some cash for it, get high, pass out.
