Great to be seeing you on the regular these days Skimbosh. In Perth WA we have mythical being in its early days, being Bertie the giant squid… which we must pay with offerings of fish and chips as the ‘this is Perth’ short film. I’m also working currently in inducting my boss into geocaching and have presented you as the go to man of the cache (in which you are). One person at a time… your reach of to un-use of the M word reaches have already gone so far 👍

Grew up in Willingboro and frequented the Riverfront very often. Never knew what was on the island until years ago. Now I wanna revisit and film another video to you guys.

There are several really chill spots to hang out for a bit. I always wanted to be hanging out on the island when they did fireworks or when that funky ass old ship comes in to port at Bristol.

Entertaining, as always. Keep being curious. I am fairly certain that the clean-up folks are simply dumping things into the bottom of the man-made sand pit where the combination of oil, gas, and diesel is creating a film on the water that melts whatever materials they use to make those plastic kayaks. Yes, ponder that on your next crossing. Pussy Turtles cannot climb onto your kayak but will devour you as soon as you hit the water. I will leave it to your imagination what part of the body they eat first. Thanks for sharing.

Nice catch. My KZread stats tell me the guys watching these videos should be in the same age group as us, but a lot of them are Brits (for whatever reason) so maybe that is lost on them. Also, it is rare (again, according to stats) that the average viewer watches a video of mine start to finish, skipping around for the good bits, so they might have missed my most excellent rendition, THE FOOLS! THEIR LOSS!

@@Skimbosh Those are some interesting statistics. From a personal view, I don't understand skipping around in a video unless there is an ad. Shame that the Skippy McSkippers are missing good bits. A Pox on all their houses!

Well you might not have signed the cache but it looked a great place to explore. The people working to restore the island have their work cut out for them though. Glad you did not have to worry about Drop Bears and Bunyips. Nasty creatures!

It is very lovely, considering you are sandwiched between some heavily populated areas. Hopefully I will have the chutzpah to return there if they ever get their plans approved for docks, village recreations, etc.

I think your narration was right, you're moving at a right angle to the current so it would be perpendicular. If you were moving parallel with it you'd be moving with or against it. I don't know, geometry was not a strong subject, I didn't have time for no math squares.

If the line from the island to PA is north to south, then I viewed the waves as a force, a line from north to south, but that line is traveling west to east. My kayak was travelling parallel to the actual line; the force of the direction the line was hitting me sideways? I would feel safer pointing IN TO the line, which I guess would be the right angle, but it would not have taken me north/south to land...Fuck me, another reason to hate water.

I need to know if that was the cache and, if not, what it is, but not enough to actually get off my ass, go to Burlington Island, and figure it out for myself.

I actually looked that up (dangerously, as I was driving) but it was easier to just turn up the music for the final 15 minutes on the highway.
