Almost 1.2 million Rohingya refugees came to Cox's Bazar for shelter in 2017 from Myanmar and They are the citizens of Myanmar and we are facing many problems for them

Taking Refugees is never easy, and problems are imminent when a small country like Bangladesh has to absolve such a massive number of people into an already overcrowded country. Nevertheless, it is the most humane thing to do. As you said, they are seeking shelter. To elaborate, they are seeking refuge from torture, murder, rape, abuse, and genocide. You wonderful Bangladeshi's are their only lifeline. My sincere thanks to all Bangladeshis for taking them. These Rohingya refugees also come from dire poverty, and poverty contributes to crimes. But as they assimilate and their life starts to improve, I am optimistic that they will contribute to the economy and be a valuable workforce and citizens of Bangladesh. I urge you to have mercy, patience, and tolerance in the name of humanity. I salute you for being so kind and welcoming. The lord above sees it all, and he rewards the merciful.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh opened the border for humanitarian reasons and welcomed more than 2 million Rohingya refugees.

There are a lot of scams in cox's bazar (and other parts of the country too) with the horse rides, jet skies, etc and tend to damage the holiday experience. Better to avoid those.

I understand that you guys were on a budget or looking for sth affordable, but, you could have just stayed at one of the beach side resorts or hotels such as mermaid beach resort, mermaid eco resort or Sayeman right off the bat for a good price. Since your visit was at the the off season, you would have gotten good discounts at some of those fancy resorts and hotels

Bangladeshi life starts at different times for different locations and for different people. Village and student life starts very early, office hour in moderate time, and some business start late usually. Also, things are very pricy in Cox's Bazar, actually.

I got scammed like this in Vietnam with airport taxi ….they told me one price but when I got in and drove for 5 min, they bumped up the price

I've never been to Bangladesh, however I travel to South America Frequently, places like Colonia and Chile. I never negotiate with them because they are poor and most would be insulted if I offered a Tip. So I pay whatever they ask, even if it is an obvious scam because I can well afford their scam prices. We need more people willing to spread our wealth and good fortune to such poor countries. I also often hire locals for security because as you can imagine I attract a fairly large crowd as many of them see a rich sucker, but I don't mind that. And At 65 I travel far less than I used to, but If my wife was as beautiful as Sophia I would be sure to show her the world !

You are always welcome to Bangladesh. Just a tip from a native Bangladeshi: never stay in Dhaka. It's a crappy, overcrowded city. Visit Sylhet, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban, or Chittagong instead.

Listen just avoid the sailors in the beach side.

It's like the Philippines why do they have bars on the windows.

I visited there before. I only took jet ski ride after negotiating a lot. I rode with my daughter only. Horse riding is a great scam. 4-Wheeler ride also a scam. BYE HORSE. NO HORSE. LOL 🤣😂🤣😂😅

Ratargul, Sylhet 5. Tea garden, madhov kundo waterfall, Moulvibazar district 6. Sajek, hanging bridge, Rangamati district 7. Debota ghum, Bandarban 8. Sitakundo, Chittagong 9. (longest beach 120km in the world), Cox's bazar 10. Saint martin island, Cox's bazar( most recommend) 11. Kuakata beach, Patua khali 12. Floating market, Barishal 13. Sundarban forest( Royal bengal tiger), Bagerhat 14. Mohastan gor(Historical place), Eating famous yogurt( Also ate by Queen Elizabeth) , Copter experience,Bogura 15. Paharpur, Naogoan @All place are near to another serially. That help u spending your money & time properly.

Hello bro... in a 5* hotel they provide "Turndown service" from housekeeping..that's why they are there knocking your door. In Europe some hotel "Turndown service till 10.30pm or 9pm" However if you put "privacy or don't disturb sign" they won't knock your door 😊 So maybe you are living in a very good hotel 😂

Jack, be careful of going to India with your girlfriend. 7 men graped a Spanish/ Brazillian girl there, and her husband got beaten and couldn't do anything. Luckily Bangladesh is ALOT safer for women.

Lol, Not every place in India experiences frequent cases of rape. Incidents like this don't happen every day and with everyone. As for Bangladesh, it's not a rape-free country either. Both countries have their challenges, but it's unfair to generalize based on individual incidents. We're sorry about what happened. Those tourists were in a small village where people might not understand English well, and it's hard to know their intentions. It's safer to stick to big cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune,Hyderabad, and Kolkata etc. One bad incident doesn't represent the whole country. Also, in Bangladesh, locals sometimes act strangely towards tourists, staring awkwardly and gathering around anyone vlogging. They might even ask for money. Tourists should be careful, especially in remote areas. India will always warmly welcome foreigners. It's important not to spread negativity towards any country.

Jack, in English it is Cox's Bazzar. However in the Bengali language they cannot sound the "s" so they say Cox Bazzar. Maybe one day they will change the English name like they did with the names of Dacca and Chittagong.

Everywhere you go in this world if you don’t know the areas and if you are new people try to take advantage of you.and about hotel 10pm in the night time room service means I think you should know by this time there is so many mosquitoes in Bangladesh so before you go sleep room service come to your room and put mosquitoes spray so you can sleep well,but obviously the guys come to your room didn’t explain you properly lack of his English.as you know those people work in hotel they are not very educated so they don’t speak English.hope you understand the fact.even I live in England sometimes I see people get robbed.but at least in Bangladesh you will never get racism they will loved you.many people live in Europe and Australia I see someone times they get and face racism but that’s the world everywhere good and bad people.many thanks for visiting my home country.I loved your blogs.
