I Moved in With a Bhutanese Family! 🇧🇹
Join me on my incredible journey living with a local Bhutanese family in the small village of Punakha, Bhutan! This remote Himalayan country remained isolated for so long and has preserved their unique Buddhist culture. I fully immersed myself in their traditions, values, food, and way of life.
In this vlog, I'll take you around the traditional Bhutanese farmhouse I lived in. You'll see their altar room, kitchen with wood-burning stove, living quarters and even the farm animals they raise. I'll introduce you to the warm, welcoming family who took such good care of me.
You'll see a typical day for a farming family in rural Bhutan. We'll harvest vegetables from their garden, collect eggs from the chicken coop and even help milk the cows and learn about yaks! We gather for a delicious family-style Bhutanese meal.
I'll take you around the village and show you what life is like in their close-knit community. We'll visit ornate temples, and browse local markets, and you'll see their unique style of dress.
This was such an unforgettable experience for me. I hope this vlog transports you to the magical kingdom of Bhutan and gives you a little taste of this fascinating culture and people. Let me know in the comments if you'd ever travel to Bhutan! Don't forget to subscribe for more global adventure vlogs. Thanks for watching!

While offering butter lamp remember to pray in mind “with this light, let all the darkness(sucfering) dispel and may all the sentient being be enlightened( eternal happiness)”. This help to generate compassion within yourself for others and you will begin to unfold your Buddha nature(kindness) if you practice daily. It’s just like a way of exercise where you grow your muscle. Thanks for sharing about my country. It means a lot for every bhutanese. Thanks and you be blessed always.
Regarding the those two cranes, They were injured by the wild dogs. Their wings were broken. So the ( WWF) or Royal Society Protection of Nature (RSPN) took them to protect from being attacked by the wild dogs.

Tree tomato is Tamarillo but the one I have seen here in Australia is red one which is quiet different in taste than the orange colored one found in my country.

Actually we do have weddings. Traditionally it’s done in a grand ceremony with spiritual lama to bless the couple. And it’s also done in a small way with just family and friends but we usually do have lamas to bless us. The main thing that’s done is exchanging ara with our partner and offering khadars. My elder sister had a grand wedding and I was shocked with the number of culture and customs it involved. I did it in a small way with just our family and few friends. The thing is these days people just start living together and start calling each other husband and wife and everyone around them considers them a married couple. But it’s mandatory to come out to our parents and we do have paper works but we take our time to sign our marriage certificates. Love your videos and I’ve been binge watching it. PS I have to say this, your girl is absolutely gorgeous! Absolutely!
