They appear to be poor children who are probably used by criminals to beg for money. Unfortunately this is a common practice in Pakistan and is most often around shrines where Pakistanis often hand out money to the less fortunate. Often children are kidnapped and forced into this "occupation" by criminal enterprises. I remember visiting Pakistan in the 80s/90s with my families and getting swarmed at the old international airport in Rawalpindi by them. How the hell were they inside the airport gates? hmmm

I kind of thought that something was off. I hav a couple of friends that are from Pakistan. One of them was living in the street of Washington DC. I would drive by on my way to work and leave the homeless ppl coffee and cheese biscuits every morning. I noticed this one man a woman would never come out of there space. So I talked to them and they told me that in Pakistan the less fortunate do not want to be noticed it’s shameful and they shouldn’t beg but ask if they really need. So they asked me if I could use any of their service that they knew how to do in exchange for help with finding them clothing, jobs and basically a handbook on how to survive in America. (They won like some kind of lottery or something to come to the US) Needless to say they are doing great the husband does IT for the government and the wife have a food truck. They also now come with me every morning to take coffee to that same spot. The wife cooks breakfast and make lunch sack as well every morning.

Edit: Near the end of the video. When Black Man Da traveler said he gave 500 rupees. The girl said “No they took it from us.” My wife said she thinks that’s why the little girl was relentless. These kids seem like professional beggars, simply telling them off doesn't work. They are trained and know exactly what to say, use religion, use emotional tactics etc. Not leaving him alone is also a tactic so that he would just pay up to get rid of them, but then different kids would probably start following him. It's a never ending battle. People have been telling them off but if they're too forceful the children's bosses (not parents, criminal bosses) would take it up with them for 'interfering with business'
I’m a black man from London that’s never been to Pakistan but even I can see that they’re just poor little kids. Surely you can’t be that ignorant to call these children scammers 500 rupees = £1.95p

Yes, it tugs at your heartstrings to see such abject poverty BUT...Once you give money to one child, they run to tell their friends, then they ALL follow you hoping you will give them money too😬. I admire people with a traveler's spirit. I could never subject myself to such harassment because my anxiety and fear would kick in. But thank you for going and filming 🎥 for us hermits back 🏡 home.
Youre being so nice of keeping up that patience and not losing it
It breaks my heart 💔to see little children following a man a strange man in their country and if was really a bad man they would be in trouble no parents allow their children to follow strange men or women throughout the streets no matter what country you're in it shouldn't be happening 😢 I do believe adults are behind the begging because tiny children being relentless in begging for money and in America if they was to do that they'd end up in the arm's of a child traffickers and so easily abducted here by following a grown man around in America is a No No💔Bless the children and keep them safe dearest parents 😢 🙏 So sad to go through and even sadder it's children doing the harassing 💔

Sad to see those children - especially the girl not giving up - asking for a hand out. Imagine: if this little girl was taken out of this environment, given a comfortable home and schooled, what an adult she would become. Whilst viewing, I so wanted you to buy for them some of those little round pastry things the guy was explaining, or an apple from the fruit vendor. Next time,, split the rupees (yourself) and give individually, if you want to. Did not expect to see these children begging in Pakistan, especially in a country where so much emphasis is placed on honor...

Man I thank you so much for sharing your travels with us. It really feels like I’m there. All I’m missing is the smells and tastes of Pakistan 😋
One of the saddest things in Pakistan is children are poor so it’s easy for them to approach to an adult asking for money. What’s even crazy is Pakistani’s look at you in a way where they never seen something in the life. Best wishes for you and your travels. The world can be crazy at times but is it best to keep yourself protected by your surroundings my friend.
Charity is a charity whether is small or big but allah will multiply it for you my brother insha allah you have big heart keep it up 👍 masha allah
This happened to me in 🇧🇩 . Normally I can deal with stuff like that but the fact it was kids shook me, not that I didn’t know that goes on but it’s just different when you’re the one being accosted, also it was drawing huge attention to my person which was the opposite of what I was going for (I was in Chittagong). I hope their situations improve, they don’t get to be what they’re supposed to be - kids.
Brother keep up the great job ,you are to generous you must of given them to much money at the beginning, the professional beggers will take your kindness for weakness, get all the professional beggers together to harasse you into giving them more ,and the sad part is you fell obligated to give them money ,and next time you don't want that experience so the real beggers that really need it you will think twice about giving, I think in every country they should clean up the streets of these professional beggers .
I am really enjoying your visit to Pakistan , as a single woman it probably isn't somewhere I will travel to but have always wondered what the country is like so a big thank you fir the insights , safe travels 🙏💙🙏

I'd be worried sick of my kids were walking the streets like this. You were very patient.
I feel for you....I had the exact same experience in Gambia. It bothered me so much that I would never go back. To be fair, it wasn't so much kids as adolescents or even young men trying to get me to pay them for "security". At the end of a couple of weeks, I became far too "colonial" for my liking.....which really bugged me!!

This is crazy, thank you for sharing this. These kids need to be trained to be intimate. Anybody different from them. They have also been conditioned to think blacks that come there are rich or poor.
It may be hard, but, NEVER GIVE THEM ANYTHING. To give is to show that you are vulnerable and have money. Sad but true.
Not to worry it happens to all visitors from abroad, even if your a overseas national they can spot u out. These people are so adorable, Once You wish the peace... They already love You.
By having given them money, they'll think he's a soft touch and he'll have no peace from them. If he'd ignored them then they would have pushed off soon enough.
Never give money to beggars they are usually part or organised groups. If you give one they all crawl out of the corners and bug the shit out of you. If you are a charitable person give it yo trustworthy organisations in that country or sometime you will yourself come across people in need. So use your discretion. But street beggars like this are organised. I prefer to give a little something to that old man or old lady sitting on the wayside trying trying to make a buck selling bits and pieces .
i was in pakistan for 3 weeks a couple of weeks ago, i was lucky that i had my pakistani inlaws with me. because they could send the beggars away. also ignoring them completely helps a lot. great video though, you are very patient.
