Crypto.com is everywhere these days, whether you’ve seen them on top of arenas in LA or in their ridiculous high budget ads.
But don’t let their flashy marketing fool you - because with all that spending, crypto.com users are left with an inferior cryptocurrency platform that isn’t actually rewarding you as much as you’d expect.
In this video, I’m breaking down why you’re probably better off using other platforms over crypto.com. Whether you simply want to trade crypto, earn passive income on your crypto, or get a crypto rewards card, crypto.com is far from the best choice. Top it all off with a pretty weak native token in CRO, and I think most crypto investors are better off elsewhere. Of course, I’ll wrap up with my favorite alternatives for all of these products if you’re interested in making your crypto investments go as far as possible.
There are a ton of hidden costs when it comes to trading crypto, and these can add up fast if you’re not aware of them. Especially in the case of crypto.com, where these fees are higher than average.
Furthermore, they advertise up to 14.5% on your crypto, but as you’ll see, it’s incredibly difficult to get these rates. This is from a combination of the requirement to lock up your assets, the requirement to stake the native CRO token, a tiered rate system, and above all, recent rate cuts that lowered interest even further.
I find their cards to be overrated too. The main problem with the crypto.com visa cards is that they require you to stake a huge amount of CRO tokens for very little benefit.
And the fact that everything is so dependent on the CRO token makes everything worse, especially because it’s such an unappealing asset to hold. Ultimately, if I don’t think the asset will appreciate, I certainly wouldn’t want to buy, hold or stake it when there are more attractive cryptocurrencies out there.

This is a great strategy. Move your passive income made through CDC app crypto earn, rewards, credit/debit card cashback, etc. to the CDC Defi Wallet and stake for higher rates. I've been doing this for the last 6 months and making fantastic returns.

You are right - Applying for the CDC card was one of the best decisions I made last year. Since then, I've been enjoying passive income with crypto earn, rewards, credit/debit card cashback, and much more. I encourage everyone to get onboard with CDC.
So are you going to completely ignoring the 12% stake reward on the 40k card, 10% on the 4k card ? Cronos TVL is at 4 Bil btw, which makes it the 9th most TVL crypto. Just by that metric we are undervalued. But that doesn't fit your narative right?

Locking up the assets is my main reason I want the CRO Visa card. I have a problem of selling way too early! I was in matic at two cents and many others and if I had it locked up I’d be a millionaire easily. But since I wasn’t staking, I sold way too early at like $.40. Keeps me up at night. I love the fact that I won’t be able to touch it and let my account grow and compound

I totally agree, I use the crypto earn feature on the CDC app making rates anywhere between 3% and 12.5%. This is indeed a great way to hold crypto, earn interest, hold long-term, and avoid panic selling.
cro is way better than gemini sorry bud. you can get 12% on cro when u upgrade to icey white or black card nothing like that for them. interest rates on gemini are very low plus no community like cros. Lebrons with cro for a reason. Celsius is down 60% for the year. Looks like cro is everywhere for a reason.

Not everyone has $40,000 OR MORE to lock up for those card levels. 🤦🏼♂️ I’d much rather have $40k of liquid assets earning in Celsius than free Spotify with assets locked for 6 months 🤣

Subd just because you put this video out. It's REAL, and honest. I found the app cumbersome when I first started USING it. PRE-FILL buys, changes networks while in process of withdrawing, and YES, SELF CUSTODY withdrawal fees are RIDICULOUS! Of course with time, I've learned work arounds, but I do agree with most of the points in this video. I am a card holder and staker as I've been in for the long haul, but for the average new investor, it's this type of video I wished I'd have had a few years ago!

@@ValueForInvestors not the point. Today's requirements and the changes to the rewards due to appeasing regulation is not going to attract the average NEW investor. Again, still in it for the long haul. I'm very confident there's still a 10x minimum by 2030 for this sector
So, I just finished the sign-up process but have yet to fund or buy CRO. I appreciate your wisdom and especially other options that are out there. I've been trying to stake to earn interest as well as get a card to load to spend.

I’m posting a video next week about the best crypto debit cards - this is easily one of the worst choices (unless you like staking CRO). You can get higher rewards elsewhere without needing tons of wealth.

What is the potential if it’s so great? 🤔 1k cash back just means you spent a lot of money. You still had to pay for the card tier & stake - I could get “1k cash back” with the worst card out there by spending enough; that’s not quite an argument.

Absolute rubbish. I spread my investment on a few exchanges and many tokens. CRO has been amazing and gave best return. It’s one of the safest tokens.

CRO has 30 billion coins in supply. The coin will never moon. Stay away from cro and buy binance coin that will go to pass 10,000 usd easily

They're ecosystem is young. When they release their gamfi aspect of the ecosystem, it's gonna take over. They are gonna be the end all be all of crypto. They are about to bridge with ETH

Celsius is trash now they offer no earn rewards unless you are a accredited investor. You become an accredited investor you have to make 100k a year and have 1M in assets.
