Also, really amazing detail in this episode: Koh told Aang the Ocean and the moon spirit represent „Push and Pull“ (the ocean pushes the Water -> Waves; the Moon pulls the water -> Tides) Now when the moon spirit was gone, and Aang was in the ocean spirit form, notice how he only pushes the water, and never pulls, because that power is not in the world at that moment.

That giant koi fish wasn't Aang. At this point Aang doesn't know how to control the Avatar State. The giant koi fish was the ocean spirit using Aang as a bridge to revenge at the moon spirit.

Zuko literally challenged Katara for a rematch. At the north pole. In the middle of snowstorm. At night. And Iroh said before it was almost full moon. A WATERBENDER. Seriously how did he thought it would end xD

Watching this made me see how underappreciated is Yue's father, Chief Arnook, as a character. He has two really good and emotional lines, both when enlisting people for the "suicide mission" in episode 19 and when talking about how proud he is about Yue, but still you can feel that even that can't erase his sadness for his daughter being gone, no matter how good the cause. Incredible voice acting as well.

Yep, Yue is now the moon. That is indeed rough. Excellent reactions to book 1! I'm very much looking forward to book 2. Personally it's my favorite season, and I hope you love it as well.

Bro Azula is scary Af , but she is also really cool character , full of complexity that some people sometimes forget , she is nit just bad . She is a freakin genius , can’t wait for you to meet her on second season !

Hi Olesya, On behalf of all the subscribers, we want to say thank you for uploading two episodes although we were not expecting that ! EPISODE TRIVIAS 1. When the moon spirit was killed and turned everything into black and white, Princess Yue is the only character that has blue eyes which indicated that she has some moon spirit inside of her. 2. Similar to number one, the moon represents pull whereas the ocean represents push. When Aang entered the Avatar State, the only waterbending he can do is push in anger, since he no longer has the "pull" factor due to the death of the moon spirit. 3. The writers made careful thought and drew inspiration from past literatures, specifically on the ocean. The ocean is symbolic in past historical events in a way that it is "ruthless nature when it comes to weather and powerful waves" (Symbolism and Metaphor, 2021). Hence as why the ocean spirit was so angry at Zhao for murdering the moon spirit and for Aang to enter Avatar State out of rage.

@@olesyasreaction It's not exactly as if military commanders are going out with rifles and fighting on the fields nowadays either, it's better for the chain of command if the commander of the entire mission doesn't get killed the only reason he disembarked at all was to get the glory of killing the spirits

11:36 Katara couldn’t heal it because she did not have waterbending while the moon spirit was dead. No one had waterbending, except Aang but that was because he got a power boost and assist from the Ocean spirit (the black koi fish). Yue giving its life back was the only way to save the Moon, and now she is the Moon spirit. And now, may I present one of the best TV villains ever written, her Royal Highness Princess Azula of the Fire Nation 😈

I just came back here to enjoy Eric Todd Dellum’s voice acting, he has a juicy sinister voice. Too bad he never came back as Koh the Face Stealer. I’m just glad the writers for Avatar: The Last Airbender brought him back for The Dragon Prince.

Man, Sokka, that’s rough buddy...

Makes you think how powerful Koh the Face Stealer is, the face of a demon he has looks very familiar to Zuko’s Blue Spirit mask, and that the actual blue spirit must’ve got caught up with Koh in the wrong way.

🔥🔥 you know what’s the best thing ? That the show gets 100 times better every Book 🤭😜

Avatar makes us all happy! and the best part is the show gets even better than this. Not just more great characters but also bigger and deeper plots!

Let me just say that this story only gets better the longer it goes on. This next book in particular is my personal favorite. ^^

Fun fact aang got exta power from the ocean spirit.. that is for example why zhau got taken by a big water hand Did you notice how iroh took on 4 fire benders during night with ease

In my stories yue and la retire and leave their koi fish form creating a new species of fish and giving water benders their own animal to study and yue and la remove their powers making the moon and ocean self sustaining so water bending will not be vunrable any more to make more balance in the world

A few things (this might seem like what everyone has said) not a lot of people Catch YUEs eyes were blue when the moon was gone first catch, also I tear up and almost cry everytime YUE goes to sacrifice herself, the hand grip sokka does knowing he wanted to protect her the best he can is heartbreaking. Also I saw someone already say: the ocean spirit took over aangs avatar state to fuck up the fire nation fleet for killing its other half. Honestly I read if they didn’t get the moon revived, the ocean spirit was probably going to rampage the world. Also love that zhao rather let his ego get him killed than letting Zuko save him. What a clown (bobo the clown, extra points if anyone gets the reference) Edit: if you caught it early in the season on the episode “the storm” you can see azula (the sister you see at the end) next to iroh when Zuko gets burned by his father

If la was removed died waterbending wouldn’t go away it would just become the weakest element and water benders wouldn’t be very developed humans any more
