Kevin I love it all, what ever they want to do I'm down for it. I hear a lot of influences that went into this, I even hear A little bit of the softer Black Sabbath sounds in my opinion, I hear classic 80's all over this. I don't see anything wrong in dabbling in classic it's better than dabbling in mainstream. This song by far is the most different, but different is not bad. You don't want to keep making the same tune over and over Not even Alice Cooper did that especially with his new album, I only heard some short clips of the songs but I like them.

Nobody said they had to make it all the same. I like the majority of their songs on the last 3 albums. Didn't really care for the first album. Some of their lighter songs like Tower and Sky Burial are my favorites. I just don't like the 80's metal/Iron Maiden type music.

yeah many ppl don't seem to get what Avatar themselves stated often enough: they are always changing their style. Ska-metal stuff would be bloody awesome tho. I mean on FnF they did abit of a death-country tune with black waters. Or the death-country and drop-of-hawaiian mixup they did with use your tongue.

This is the song that got me into Avatar. Didn't like it at first but sometimes the best music has to grow on you. Avatar is now my favorite band. There fucking amazing live.

This is really awesome! This band never fails to amaze me. It's risky to change your style that much, but Avatar definitely knows how. They never disappoint.

if you are new to Avatar, please do yourself a favor and listen to the older albuns as well, (at least until black waltz), youre not gonna regret it.

I love that combo of Henrik's bass & John's drums from 2:48 - 3:05 so awesome!

I would watch a movie based off this album any day every day.

Avatar: The only band that can make a song that sounds nothing like them but exactly as awesome as anything they would normally write at the same time.

This is what a true artist looks like. This band is amazing!!

The King was gracious enough to speak with me after the private audience given at the Machine Shop in Flint, MI. His mustache was impeccable.

935 views. Pressed like before even watching it. Avatar has never dissapointed me.

Avatar are one of those bands where I don't always like their new stuff at first listen, but from the second listen on I love it. And for people who are saying that they don't like how much thy changed their sound, Avatar are one of the most experimental metal bands of the 21st century. They started as a melodeath band with their first three albums but starting with Black Waltz onward they have had no specific sound.

I really don't understand much of anything in this video, but I DO know that I am likely witnessing the greatest story ever told.

That guitar solo and Johannes' voice, fuck yes please

Guys, seriously, let off Avatar... They're trying new things. They're not "Getting Softer," they're trying their hands at a softer song. Bands aren't and shouldn't be confined to a single genre like it's law, they're allowed to branch away and explore what might sound good. It may be shit to you, but that doesn't mean you have to tell everyone else that it IS shit. Give constructive criticism, not stupid malice with a comment like: "its not gud bcuz it wasnt heavy"

Just found this band the other day, so far I like everything old and new but I especially like this sound, this is right up my alley. 100% agree with your comment. I have listened to A LOT of different music during my short life and at least 50% of it I don't care much for these days. Music tastes change, if bands have to play one style of music their whole career then fans should only listen to one type of music their whole lives... Can you imagine how lame that would be.I know musicians whos music went down a different path than me, but I appreciate all the good memories of good music I have from them and I like to show that appreciation by not hating on their new stuff or calling it shit.

All these songs are catching me off guard! I'M NOT READY! Love the riff on this song.

Avatar put so much into their previous album which was a Masterpiece. Time - creativity - a book that went with it. I am not surprised they scaled things back. Hopefully it still a good album.

My kid just saw y'all in Dallas. It was his very first concert. He had a blast! I thought he would be the youngest there, but there were little kids headbanging. Raising them right! The bubbles at the end was a nice touch. LOL

I LOVE the sound of this! I discovered avatar randomly and the first song I hear was the eagle has landed and I instantly loved the band. Is so unique to see a band experiment like avatar and I think they do an amazing job at it
