Accurascale class 37s really have been the flavour of the year, not month for me & since 37419 dropped a few months back there’s been no stopping the take over at Colwich!
Europhoenix 37608 Andromeda looks like she is now pride of the fleet, an absolute stunner in my eyes….not to mention the wonderful sound.
Progress although painfully slow, has started on the southern end of the layout.
Thanks again to #accurascale the release on the GWR Manor has finally helped me make up my mind as to what to do with the unfinished part of the layout.
Virtual quarry?….no, nuclear flask loading area?…..no, end of a heritage line? Yes!
Thinking along the lines (excuse the pun) of where a mainline joins a heritage line, or should that be the other way round? I don’t know…that’s what’s been decided on.
Slowly a collection of soon to be weathered box vans & the like have started to arrive at Colwich to populate the short sidings that will be present as the area is developed.
The head scratching has really started on how to hide the sharp “train set” curves, with a selection of tunnel portals & bridge kits being employed to complete the task.
Finally back in October I spent a wonderful day riding the rails at the Llangollen railway’s Heritage Rail Car day, so there are a few running shots from what turned out to be the last throw of the dice for warm sunny weather in 2023…
