​@@evanartist8060what's actually cool as of typing, is that the guys at Toyhax have made a decal sheet that can give the Autotrooper not only it's bot-type name in writing, but also the option of 6 alternative patrol names. To me; that just means I can make 6 generic Autotroopers go pro, just like how the clones would.

Prowl showing up was a bit of a curveball. Then you went and did the entire Datsun crew. This is brilliant.

Using the Autotroopers as the origin of the Datsun autobots is actually genius and I'm surprised no one has done it before. Also just having a character named "The Autotrooper" who's a veteran of countless conflicts and just won't die is hilarious in concept but also pretty awesome.

It could be a similar case to The Mandalorian, where in this case he did decide to name himself, but since he's the only one left who kept the original design and has also just become a badass on the battlefield people just refer to him as "The Autotrooper", maybe people nickname him "Auto" for short?

This feels very inspired by the Clone Wars and I’m here for it.

That one Autotrooper being that one 212th Clone Trooper killing that Crab Droid in Episode III but it’s against a Autotrooper-slayer Sweep and making that Sweep eat it.

Am I the only one who thought TJ was implying that “The Last Autotrooper” was gonna be Ironhide? Especially with that whole “Fear an old man in a profession where boys die young” spiel!

Transformers: Clone Wars: The Bad Batch

I keep imagining a story like Kryten from RED DWARF, where an Autotrooper is marooned on a planet long enough to develop an individual personality of something hilariously mild-mannered like a gardener. I hear John de Lancie as the voice actor.

That or the red visor is something the EDC generation Autotroopers have while the blue is from the original Cybertron generation Autotroopers and the EDC Autotroopers that comes with them are given it as tribute to the original generation.

In my personal canon, the Autotroopers are Elite Guardsmen who volunteered to be reformatted into identical bodies that were easier to source parts for. These bots used Ironhide and Prowl’s body types, as those were among the easiest frames to find parts for. Prowl and Ironhide themselves lead a small group of the most skilled Autotroopers known as the 984th Battalion. This is in sharp contrast to the Vehicons, who were engineered by Shockwave and Thunderwing to be submissive and expendable. Unlike the Autotroopers, they come in many varieties- tanks, jets, stealth jets, motorcycles, APCs, F1 racers, ospreys, and SWAT vans. However, they lack free will and intelligence, only able to follow the most basic orders. They are led by generals who serve as “apex” versions of their respective type- Tankor, Jetstorm, Spy Streak, Thrustor, Blastcharge, Silhouedge, Obsidian, and Alphastrike.

This would make a fair bit of sense, especially if the Autotroopers were started in the times the Autobots were on the bad end of the war and lacking resources. Whereas the Seekers share the same general airframe, with a few variations like Ramjet's extra engines or Thrust's VTOLs, because it was the most effective design for overall performance. Vehicons are less mentally individual but more physically differential to match very specific roles, with their 'generals' doing most of the thinking and planning.

If we have some Decepticon soldiers (Seekers, Photons, etc.) and Quintesson armies (Sharkticon, Allicon), the Autobots should have mooks of their own, which is why somehow, Derrick J. Wyatt took notice on the Autotrooper ideas from Kiss Players and redesign them into Autobot soldiers in Animated. Still, the fact is that our memory of these things is basically bleeding because of Kiss Players, which is infamously seen as the most cursed thing Japan has ever done since Brigadoon.

I feel like this story shares a little bit of DNA with the clone troopers from Star Wars. They were all clones of Jango Fett but they expressed their individuality with hair styles and tattos, and some, like Rex, distinguished themselves and became main characters. I gotta say I love the idea of "THE Autotrooper" very much last knight energy.

When you were introducing “THE Autorooper” I was expecting some sort of last final plot twist along the lines of “and this Autorooper’s name is… Obsidian/Strika” given their many battles, but I can see why you wouldn’t do that. Anyhow great vid!

I thought the twist was going to be the Autotrooper became Roller or Ultra Magnus. Magnus especially has the pure white inner body that's obscured by his trailer armor and his line in the movie about being "just a soldier".

Something I really want to see fleshed out are the transformers that stayed with the Quintessons, like the WFC guards and Overcharge drones. We know that Cybertron was a factory for labor robots but just because they rebelled doesn’t mean their old overlords would lose access to their own technology. Do these robots NEED to be drones or can they get sparks as well? This creates a very interesting situation as it’s a direct reflection into what the Cybertronian race once was and what they nearly remained to be. This opens up countless possibilities for storytelling.

Turning Prowl molds into Autotroopers? Now that I like.

So, obviously it's a no-brainer we ignore all continuity with Kiss Players... But can we at least agree the Kiss Player Autotrooper had a sweet head design? I'm glad it's included as an alt head because the design is genuinely cool to me. As for the video as a whole, that is SERIOUSLY the best way I've heard to not only incorporate Autotroopers into the main continuity, but by extension also give an amazing explanation for why so many Autobots, and even a Decepticon share the same alt mode, or same type of transformation. It's such a fun way to broaden the lore and I wish it was canon, though regardless of the official capacity I will definitely consider this the reality within my personal headcanon.

Would they work best as the Autobot equivalent of the Clone Troopers from the Clone Wars? I also had the idea of different Autotrooper body types representing different ranks/positions. Main ones being from: - Ironhide: Animated reference - Jazz: Alternators/KP reference - Prowl: Referencing a Toyhax sticker sheet

I was thinking the same thing! I actually made tf Clone Troopers for my sg collection using the siege sideswipe molds, and my story is the cons were being outmatched by the sg bots, so megatron hired an ex mercanery to clone him into an army of synphetic-spark clones, each with their own thoughts, likes and dislikes, but i based most of them on clones from clone wars, like Rex, Wolffe, Bad Batch

The Brave soul was Animated and everything mined was relegated to the goddamn background. Anyways, the characters originating from there have been developed in their own ways in side material, Megatron clone armies are an idea that existed prior and can persist eventually. It would be cool to see the Kremzeeks being weaponized in bullets again. Aside from that, I doubt we'll ever see Megatron's visage eating humans again.

When you were talking about how a Autotrooper becomes versions of the Datsun crew, it reminded me of Mortal Kombat X’s Triborg who is able to turn into three different robot fighters. Would love to see something like that for Prowl, Streak, and Smokescreen

I think the reason why so many people are coming into support you is because you make content based on your opinions and for your fans instead of based on the algorithm which is good because it makes the content more genuine and real, your content is more like homemade chocolate chip cookies and content made for the algorithm is like generic store brand chocolate chip cookies both are similar but yours is higher quality

Love the idea of connecting the AutoTrooper to the Datsun trio but, personally I would have the Troopers be copies of them (well mostly just Prowl) other than the opposite way round. Personally, I would have the AutoTroopers be connected to the Omega Sentinels. Cybertron's ancient guardians and used by the Primes to protect not destroy or enslave. Whoms production lines were reactivated when Megatron began his take over. Which can open the door for different looking Autotroopers to, have each model take on the appearance of a then current notable Autobot. So we can have both an Animated & Classic Autotrooper appear at the same time (that or just have them be different Class of the troopers).

Animated/Ironhide Class Autotroopers could be battlefield Autotroopers. Ones deployed for war. KS/Prowl Class Autotroopers could be the peacekeepers or peace time Autotroopers. Ones used to keep law and order.

The Autotrooper concept would be interesting to see expanded upon

Man, you could paint these guys blue and you might have a good stand-in for a Space Marine.

You did miss War for/Fall of Cybertron as one of the times Autobots fielded generic-body soldiers.

Autotroopers make sense, since they share the body type with Ironhide. Ironhide shares body type with Guard, and Deeseeus Trooper, and in Bayverse, Ironhide was actually a Decepticon who defected.

Imagine a proxy war on a remote colony planet fought between Autotroopers and Vehicons. Going on for millions of years not knowing that the Great War was over and all their suffering was for nothing and everything they've done had zero effect in the outcome.

WOW! Such an amazing story for the autotroopers. It makes me appreciate them more, and I will love see to them in a series or film.

Finally. I'm not the only one who thought of this

In my continuity, Schism, the Autotroopers are all one guy, named Gary. Gary Autotrooper. He has the Spark ability to Duplicate himself Infinitly with his mind and spark being distributed all across his bodies in a hivemind. The only limits being the amount of accessible resources and Energon at hand. Pre war he was a Iacon cop. His Cousin. Is named Steve. Steve Vehicon. He has the exact same hivemind power as his cousin. The 2 hate each other for many reasons. So when the war Begins. The 2 choose sides. And have an excuse to kill the scrap out each other.

The man already fixed Deviations and Beast Machines. Let’s see him share his personal canon… … or if he wants to do something truly out of left field, perhaps he could rewrite RID 2015 to make it a better show/more in line with TFP while still keeping the same concepts/budget.

This video gave me a flashback to my youth when I scribbled episode ideas for TF: Prime. One focused on an Autotrooper, christened 'Rook' as in Rookie, that was in stasis in the Autobot base until Miko woke him up. The rest of Team Prime insisted he go back into stasis but Rook would take on some missions before the reason was properly explained why he was in stasis. Rook had zero self-preservation and takes increasing risks to win the war. A common thing in Autotroopers. Rook would agree to go back into stasis once he put, and rescued, Miko in danger and it would up to decide if he would ever return.

I do like the idea of a battle hardened cannon fodder trooper turned into like a war hero, though truth be told I like cannon fodder characters in general so this speaks to me lol

They should've used autotroopers in siege instead of random repaints since it would've made the world seem bigger and the show seem less cheep

Could your story work for either Earthspark or Skybound's: Energon Universe?

I'm proud to say I am one of the few lucky owners of the Kiss Players 2006 Autorooper. There's also a review on my channel too.

There are a few other Generic Autobot troopers. Omega Sentinel was originally a generic version of Omega Supreme. Though some times depicted as Decepticons Transformers Animated also reused the idea that every Autobot ship was essentially a recolored Omega Supreme. We never get to see Ultra Magnus' ship in robot mode and it might not even be capable of Transforming anymore with the modifications on the vehicle mode but the source book does confirm that ship is a transformer. The Junkions being different is more of a modern take, I mean there were a few different models in the movie but they were pretty much all motorcycles with slight modifications to the same base model so I consider them to be generics. This was kind of a retcon from BotCon but it seems like the Maximal Security Forces were all based on that same Cloaker mold they used for Cheetor and Tigatron which kind of implies that they're generic Maximals. Transformers Energon seemed to have some generic Autobots in it one of which was Wing Dagger who would later become Wing Saber. I think the animators got lazy and kept reusing the Skyblast animation model if I remember correctly. Transformers Cybertron also showed a few different generic Autobots based on Armada Blurr which is weird when I don't think that mold ever got reused in the Cybertron toy line. I believe there was also a Paradron Medic created as an Arcee repaint who is a generic Autobot troop builder, not really a "troop" since they're by nature medics not soldiers but they kind of fill the same role of there's more than one and they all look the same. The Transformers Prime Vehicons were also repainted into... Pounce and Wingspan for some reason even tough they're beast and the vehicle modes would actually fit better as Fastlane and Cloudraker. They weren't originally ment to be troop builders but I actually really like this idea Prime introduced that a Troop Builder can still have a very similar robot mode even if they take on different alt modes to serve different functions. Oh and I almost forgot Cyberverse did show us that Airhammer is a form of Cybertron wild life of which there are several not just a single character so again generic Maximals exist. The one thing that really wouldn't work for heroic troop builders is my personal head cannon for how the Vehicons in Prime were actually made. RID2015 introduced us to a character who is the only unique looking Vehicon with an actual name. He was serving under Starscream during his whole arc in that series and he had a very mangled asymetrical design. It's never directly stated why he looks like that but my head canon is that all the Vehicons are clones of him and his body has that asymetrical appearance because Shockwave removed parts of his body in order to collect enough CNA to produce the massive army of cloned Vehicons we saw durring Prime. And it's got to be Shockwave who was doing it because he's the one most associated with the clones we see durring Prime, the Predacons and while Starscream does clone himself he even mentioned the equipment originally belonged to Shockwave. Anyway that's not an origin story I would ever image for an Autobot troop builder but I could totally see the Decepticons picking parts off one of their own in order to mass produce clones of him.

Armada Blurr was redone into Cybertron Blurr. He was one of the wave 1 Armada remolds, alongside Runamuck, Longrack, and Buzzsaw.

I love the idea of the "Final Autorooper" basically being The Doomslayer. Rip and Tear, Till All are One.

I’m pretty sure Chris Mcfeely has done a Basics on Kiss Players episode so the info is there for anyone who doesn’t know about it 😅

My idea for Autotroopers is different. This is how I decided to make them in my personal Transformers universe ive bene writing. And it starts with the Vehicons. While fighting on Earth Megatron is in desperate need of more soldiers. So he sets up a similar scheme to the g1 episode Make Tracks and begins gathering materials to create an army of drones that can get much more up close and personal and not run away like cowards all the time. As the war continues and the EDC is created, the Autobots have other, more important things to do on other planets, so they rebuild and reformat the Vehicons into Autotroopers, all based on Ironhide like in Animated. They also leave some Autobots there to lead teams of these Autotroopers. And together they defend the Earth from any possible threats while the other Autobots search for the lost Cybertronian colonies

If I was in charge of the fiction I would treat the Autotroopers like the clones in clone wars.

Now with cloning technology, the autroopers can come back in full force, if prime so chooses.

I've always liked the idea of combining of the Autotrooper concept but also the Omnicon idea from Energon; same-ish general aesthetics but eventually, hyper individualized. Plus it gives them justification of giving more Overloads/Rollouts as characters if they decided to turn him into an Omni-Trooper.

I saw were this was going to go with connecting Autotroopers to the trio (quartet if you count Silverstreak seperately from Bluestreak) but I like how you worked up to it in the context of the theme you made and incorperated their contrasting personalities, and didn't just make them evolved versions because of the matching body type alone. I'm actually kind of sad the new figure uses the Ironhide mold instead of one of the Datsun Bro molds, but I get it because the Animated Autotroopers used the cybertronian version of Ratchet/Ironhide (and then you would get a similar story of Ratchet being one that dedicated himself to medical work rather than fighting) though I do like the set keeps up with the 'additional alternate heads' like the other fourpacks had so you can have an officer and trooper/specialist version if you do do troop building.

Even as a kid I noticed that particular transformation trend with Autobots. Especially with Micromasters, which nearly all had the same basic conversion scheme. I really like how this story brings all of that into the fiction.

So, the autroopers in this version became the 3 to 4 police car transformers that we know today. That is MUCH better than the Japanese way of this.

Weren't we going to get AutoTroopers in the Transformers Universe MMO game as the CPU the deception players could fight?

Given the white and black coloring, I've named this figure Artica, the Autobot cold weather specialist.

11:26 I think a couple of extra things could be done here. Such as having Ironhide and Ratchet be either repaired from or reconstructed into Autotroopers (since they all have the same, if not slightly different bodies). The second thing is that some of the troopers could have underwent a reprogramming and reinforcement (or just have a more specialized version of them) as the Diaclone Gaurd figures, and have them as either elites or guards.

I didn't want literally every Autobot be a converted Autotrooper, and since this was based on the original toy that was originally Alternator Smokescreen/Bluestreak, I kept it to that body type. As laid out in the story, I felt it made more sense that Ironhide, typically depicted as an old veteran. predated them so they had a commander when Optimus took over.

@@TJOmega Technically, the original toy was the Alternator Jazz mold, but that mold was really more akin to a Prowl than a Jazz anyway, so it still works.

I was thinking about making a bet on this, but than I thought it was way too easy and the odds would be in my favor........what am I talking about you may ask. When I saw what the subject was in the thumbnail, and even before watching I knew that the Kiss Players would be dissed.......dismissed, to be forgotten, even though the Autotroppers would not exist without that series. I am not saying opinions against the series is wrong, just that it is so predictable that every reviewer have the same opinion. But in the defense of said reviewers, Hasbro is doing the exact same thing, using concepts from the Kiss Players, while pretending that the series never existed. On that note I want to say that those are pretty cool ideas on how to use them BTW.

I actually want to incorporate Autotroopers into my AU. They're just like The Vehicons in Prime, including the fact that they're more than just clones. Hell, just like RID 2015's Shadelock, one of The Autotroopers was actually given a name and proper identity. That's what Slammer is in the AU.

1.) Gross, kiss players. 2.) Autotroopers work with Cybertron centric stories, I really think they clash with, "aliens stuck on Earth vibe." If the Autobots have their own drone army vs deception vehicons. Why even have Megs and, Prime clash? Just make more drones. 3.) If they are human made mechs, like the gross original story... that could solve the, "human problem." Most Transformers fights end up having.

Marissa and Optimus are a couple. Even Japan accepts their relationship.
