I accidentally used the street version of this car and nearly gave up on it. The race version almost feels like a different car and is so much better; I truly can’t wait for the GT3 / GT4 DLC now. Speaking of which, has anyone heard what cars will be included in that pack? I hope we get a few so that we can have a bit more diverse field, this sim has a lot of single car classes which makes for a lot of single make races. Part of the fun with the GT cars for me is having all the different manufacturers/models racing against each other. (In this vein, it would also be nice to have custom liveries.)

I stayed up till 3am because steam said within an hour, then I stayed up till 3:30... had to sleep because it would be god damn 4am until I could play. Wish devs/steam would give a proper update

Great video! What about a series showing all the Brazilian tracks? It would be great for folk who keep going back to the same tracks like Imola etc.

The first car, track combo, is indeed awesome! Especially that Roco 001. That is just a fun car to drive! Interesting that the P1 Metalmoro is equivalent to an LMP3. Always thought them more like an LMP2. But you are probably right. They are a blast to drive though and I am really curious to see the full Brazilian endurance championship represented in AMS2. Doing a full season of it (or even working my way up multiple seasons) would be awesome!

First thing I tried was the last thing you showed Mike. Wow! Locked diff makes for a lot of sideways action in the Super V8s and what better place than Adelaide? I really like the arrows for showing cars behind and on the side. Changing between red and green is a great solution for showing how close a car is.

I have the money,done all the homestuff that needet to be done,kids have eaten,wife already warned. Just realese it please.

I have good memories from the No. 65 MetalMoro MRX in the P3 race. They used to let people seat inside the No. 65`s cockpit after the races, and I got this opportunity twice, at Tarumã and Guaporé, of course taking a POV shot to record it. Nowadays I watch some races with the team at their garage, the guys here in the Endurance Brasil paddock are really well receptive.

Thanks Mr SimRacing604 - as (all joking aside this time) I needed the expertise of a AMS1 expert to guide me in the right direction, as a so-called AMS NEWBIE.... I will be following your guide with closer inspection many times, as Daylight Savings ends this weekend --- and I can finally put all the gear on in the garage, without ending up in a big pool of sweat (sorry for that discussing image - and really liked your "silent" Intro to this video very much - very clever indeed ; )

kyalami was a surprise for me, i love that circuit, i wish it was still in modern day f1,probably the underdog of circuits and many historical fatal accidents as well.

I love Oulton Park especially the Classic layout. The Roco 001 is a very fun car to drive and it's fantastic around Brands Hatch too.

I'm VERY late to the party, but with the new DLC I recommend some of these a shot: Formula V10 gen 1 at Silverstone 1991 (try to beat the world record hotlap ;) P4+GT4+GT5 multiclass race for 25 minutes with time progression and dynamic weather at Silverstone International 2001 (you'll get some idea of what the Top Gear lads went through on that 24 hour race episode) Virgin Supercars (Super v8s in game) at Kyalami Have fun!!!

This might sound odd but does it drive well with a controller?

Mike, what are decent a.i skill settings that allow for decent racing? I tried an F-Classic Gen 2 race at 100% skill (like I have it set in PC2), but they were unrealistically too fast off the turns.

I got the early buy in but was disappointed there were no stadium trucks..i wanted to try those in vr so bad in the first one..hope they show up at some point..unless I over looked them

F3 & Interlagos always works for me on AMS1

I haven't touched the Beta for over a week now. Have they sorted the lack of road surface and kerb 'feel'? Up to now it's felt like driving on a sheet of glass (from a smoothness, not a grip perspective).

Is there going to be a career mode for Ams2 like the pcars 2 one I enjoined that a lot and would be even better with good ffb

Oh man, that P3 at Oulton is total chefskiss.jpg. Maybe a bit of BOP needed in that class though, the distribution of the grid after qualifying was suspiciously grouped by car model. Stunning graphics at sunset too. And the V8’s at Adelaide is fantastic in VR. Was a bit disappointed with the VW bugs (or whatever their Brazilian name is) but I’m going to give them another go, maybe at a different track. Somewhat surprised at the tepid reaction. Not as much attention for this release as I would have thought; it seemed highly anticipated. Maybe it’s the pandemic...

My first impression wasn't great. 4hrs of racing later I'm quickly becoming a fan. I would love a force feedback tutorial from you as well as camera settings for such things as World Movement and G-Force. I use TrackIR and had to turn all those to 0 (shaking was way too much for my stomach). Most other settings appear like PC2. I really like the Stock Car at IMOLA 1972. AI, well........

Kevin DeMichele hey man! Thanks for watching. The FFB tutorial will be out tomorrow by this time. Camera settings is a good idea. I was getting sick feelings too from too much cockpit movement, so I had to dial the movement from 50 to 25, which fixed it. If I end up tinkering with it any further and get things looking really good, I’ll look into making a video about it

Looks like the AI was smart enough to back off on your undercuts; won't miss that from project cars.

So at 4:07 did you not have headlight on? Or does it have the same problem as PC2 where it literally has to be night time dark for the headlights to illuminate anything? Also in PC2 a dark rainy day...like that...the Ai would never turn on their lights and you couldn’t see them till they hit the breaks in front of you, especially in VR. It was another game breaking problem.

How does the 40% discount work on early access? So when I buy the game now at the discounted price, I still get the 1.0 version without paying more? Thanks.

Still not convinced about the game. I am convinced that Reiza will keep working on the title but as said before: cant make iron into gold. It becomes a hit and miss title just like project cars series. AMS is still the king

hi,mike, some help please. I bought the AMS before the release of the 2 and went for some intensive races to fully experience the game, and felt in love with AMS and would definitely buy the ASM2. My question is with the wheel rotation range of the cars in AMS. i know that it is almost universal for the modern touring cars to be 540 and older cars 720 or 900, and F1 cars to be 270, but i just want for sure. seems that in AMS i have to adjust this range in game, and do you have some references for the car in AMS in the real world about their wheel rotation range?

Game should automatically degrees of rotation depending on car but you may have to calibrate steering lock. Also check that the in-cockpit wheel rotation matches your wheel rotation.

Hey Mike! I was wondering if you've encountered an issue with the sound that myself and a few others have found... especially since you also use VR. For me, the engine and transmission noises are soooo washed out and degraded, especially in cockpit view. All I can hear is wind, and everything else seems muffled. Sounds really unnatural. Then when I press the "look back" button, I can occasionally hear the pure engine sound and it sounds great! So I know the quality sound is there, just hidden! I have only tried playing in VR but it is really immersion-breaking. I in going to try it on my monitor and see if that affects anything. I don't notice it happening in your videos. Also, when I turn my head in VR, the sound is bugged and the Left and Right channels seem to be reversed (ex: turn my head to the left, hear more engine sound from the right ear despite the engine being behind me...) Thanks for any input you have. I really want to enjoy this game but this is really sticking in my craw right now. Sounds do bad compared to all my other sims on the same headphones/output.

Kevin hmmm... I haven’t really noticed it. Speaking honestly, I don’t have the most adept hearing when it comes to subtleties like you’ve described. I did notice something that’s perhaps similar last night. I was driving the Ultimate GTR street car, and the downshift sounds were pure excellence. But then in the straights, there was something that sort of muffled or distorted the sound. Hopefully balancing the sound levels is on Reiza’s to do list. This would be a good issue to post to the official forums if you have time.

Yea, there was a problem with steam. Somehow the wrong version of the game was ready to be released. So now they're waiting for steam to accept their good build and waiting for steam to then release the game.

Question: How heavy is it to download? 50 gigs like PC2?

How does the physics in this game compare to Asseta Corsa (original)? I would assume that the physics is better/easier to get used to out of the box compared to PC2. What is release car count and track count?

Tiago Antunes some elements are really well done, like the roll in corners, and the heave when cresting a hill. But the pitch seems strange; it’s too easy to oversteer on corner exit in my opinion

@@SimRacing604 yeah, I shouldn't have said it simply sucks because I also like some elements of it, but yeah, theres some bounciness top pronounced sometimes and other times, some cars suspension travel too freely or just too much. Maybe it's about the physics animations, but I don't know. I tried it yesterday and I didn't enjoy it, although I had to refund rather quickly because I didn't santa my money wasted for now. If it gets better I'll get it.

Sorry mike, but these V8 sound like lawnmowers...
