Enjoyed all three of your video's. Especially like the design for the star sizer. I'm personal friends with Donnie and Dennis of Bayou Bullets and have tested all of them.

Absolutely outstanding video! I’d been toying with the idea of doing something like that, for both a Star and a Lee APP. I’ve already 3D printed a nose down bullet collator and I think the combo could really be slick.

You did a great job on the videos. Looking forward to getting the parts. Thanks for putting the time into this to save the rest of us the trouble. My shoulder prevents me from hand loading as much as I would like. This will be a great help!

Hi there, looking at this I see an idea, if you have not tried it already. Instead of the making the clevis for the air cylinder to attached to the lever, why not thread the leaver end to accept the same Himes joint as the cylinder, then bolt them side by side together. Just a thought, but it looks good and works.

You do an excellent job with your videos, very easy to understand, and very easy to watch. What are you using to feed it with air pressure? As in, how many CFM, what inlet pressure, are you drying or filtering the air?

Thank you for watching, and your questions. I have an old Sears compressor with a 20 gal tank. Any compressor that will deliver 90-100 lbs psi will work. I usually size a box (850), of bullets at a time. That takes about 22 minutes. I keep a check on the tank and if it has a buildup of condensate I drain it. I believe any water filtration devise would work well. This is a fantastic help for the “sizing drudgery.” If you own a Star Sizer this is the way to go. I have included a parts list for you. Look, I had no experience doing something like this. It’s not hard to construct. The main difficulty for me was that a few of the parts I needed were not commercially available. Believe me, I looked and looked: NOT AVAILABLE! So I experimented and worked on all sorts of metals. I have now come up with the few critical parts that make it all work like a champ. Some days I look at my Star Sizer on the end of my bench, and with a wry smile remember the days of “Sizing Drudgery!” Those days are history now.

Thanks for the reply. I have spent the last couple of weeks casting about 8000 45 ACP bullets. Today I will start coating them with HiTek, so I am about to review your HiTek video. Then on to sizing them. I am using a Lee sizing dye in a single stage press right now, but I can see something like this in my future. What kind of output do you see from your Master Caster unit?

Have you considered adding an upside down bullet feeder? Thanks for the excellent video!

Matthew, I have considered adding a bullet feeder, like the Mr. Bulletfeeder. This machine will size over 2,000 per hour without an auto feeder. Most hobbyists would find that volume very satisfactory. Even a bullet feeder requires constant attention to keep it filled. That said, please know that I would have already installed a bullet feeder if the money and the need were there!😀

Dan Dix valid point! You did an excellent job, I’m in the process of building one with my uncle who is a machinist by training. I am waiting on a 3D printer that should arrive tomorrow with plans to make my own bullet feeder. We’re also in the process of setting up a pneumatic bullet caster too.

I have not added a bullet feeder though I have considered it. I simply hand feed and it is amazing how many I can load in a short period of time. Others have added a bullet feeder.
