Are the small set screws supposed to be tightened against the flats at the end of the tap? Or, are the set screws not tightened so the tap could potentially turn in the chuck if it gets stuck?

Hi I am buying a reverse tapping head to tap 1/2" acrylic rod with 1/4 20 tap. my drill press has a 4mt spindle taper. does this matter if the rev tapping head is different 2mt, 3mt...? Also, how much tension should i set tapping head at for tapping acrylic? Thanks

Works brilliantly but why use a tang attachment on the arbour? a threaded arbour would prevent it pulling out which happens often when reverse engages.

tang? did you mean the Jacobs taper? it's not going to fall out if you seat it properly

Hi, I just purchased one of these & received 1 smaller type arbour and when I fit it to drill press, it falls out when I turn machine on... What am I doing wrong. This part is not explained in yr vid - Do I need a larger arbour?

Wipe the arbor taper and the corresponding hole in the tapping head clean with a cloth soaked in rubbing alcohol, or brake cleaner. The surfaces must be completely dry and oil free. Place the arbor into the tapered hole and give it a pretty good smack with a brass hammer. That should set the arbor into the tapping head and you shouldn’t have any problems going forward.
