    Hey Chris, well I've learnt something today I never knew that leaving your first coat of clear to long before the second can cause dieback🤔I normally give it 3-5 mins (depending on temps) so it's feels like the sticky side of masking tape and I've never had any issues. I really enjoy what you do and always look forward to your videos so thanks for taking the time to make them for us🙏🙏👍John UK

    You can take the new sagola's ring out and use every cap from the old 4600 just a little tip I got from Pete's hobbies on here can't wait to see that truck build and paint The folks at home need to know that it takes a lot of air to get around a whole car I have the HF it won't make it been there done that but great video as always I watch them all thanks. Also I have the drizzle myself that gun says LVLP but when I use it personally It seems 25 is the psi hot spot but every painter has a style of their own. I must add the Sagola is amazing for clear I love it because it's a fast gun and fits my style I'm in the booth all day so flat rate well lets just say the faster the better.

    Another great video, sir! A novice here. I have a Kiwami 4, but do you think the Drizzle d1 would be more user friendly in a garage? (less overspray?) Also did you happen to see if that light would fit the Drizzle? Thanks so much for all you do for us!

    @Garage Noise have you sprayed sealer with the Astro Pro and had any issues? I think I had problems getting it to break up the Finish 1 sealer playing with the air pressure and fluid

    When you speak about the flash time between clear coats... when it's hot, how do you know how long to wait? I'm using a 2 :1 clear and don't want to screw it up.

    Best way when it's hot is to touck the painted paper and if it's tacky and not wet or stringy then it's ready for the second coat. In over 90° depending on your clear coat it may only be 2-3 minutes

    @GarageNoise thank you... it's above 90 and I'm using a 2 : 1 high solids clear. So I will use the feel and tackeiness of the paint on the paper for all coats. Thanks! Really like the way you explain the methods and how to do's.

    I try to understand trying to reach the DIY at home but most people are wanting to paint the whole car! They need a video that helps with that this is what us Techs do I don't believe a person at home is just painting a bumper cover in my opinion can't wait for an over all paint job DIY informative video that's done on the cheap.

    Good point, I have an up come shop truck build I will be documenting on KZread tube that will be a complete paint jo and maybe even some custom painting. If I was doing KZread full time I could do more complete paint jobs, but for now I work with the jobs that come in. Appreciate your comment and support brother!

    @@GarageNoise That will seperate you from all the other channels everybody is a tech on here but doing an all over that's what the person at home want's I have that opinion ofcourse because I'm a Tech so ya it gets a bit boring but you seem to care about the DIY community show them what they are trying to get the information on what it takes. Thanks.

    @travlite8496 I disagree, I’d say most diyers who watch this channel are not painting whole cars in their garage as that is a pretty involved process. They’re more likely trying to repair a dent or scratch on their vehicle and what I appreciate the most is the level of detail Chris provides us, which sets him apart. So thanks Chris!

    HELP! I repaired some rust and at the point where I sprayed my cars base coat color. I had a few drips that needed to be sanded. Do I need to re coat the sanded spots before spraying the clear? Or can I just clear over the whole spot (sanded and unsanded)?

  • @GarageNoise

    How long do you let your sealer flash off before painting your base coat? And also when prepping panels for paint is it necessary to completely get rid of all the shine? Also is 800 grit wet sanding paper to course for blending silvers? The shop I work at now they don’t allow me to finish on 800 on blend areas they tell me to 1500 grit wet, what is your opinion sir? Love the videos and Knowledge by the way great work

  • @GarageNoise

    @GarageNoise

    Yeah, I found 1500 is not corse enough for good adhesion of the new clear. 800 is much better. Yes all the shine needs to be sanded before clear. I've had clear peel when prep work was done with 1500. Appreciate the comment and support brother!

    Ever use retarder while painting on hot days?

  • @GarageNoise

    Honestly I've never really used it to reduce my clearcoat. I know guys whe do and it might help clear flow out by slowing it down. My concern was always, will it hurt the durability and uv protection. Theoretically is should all evaporate and gas off, but that why I haven't. Maybe I will one day and do a video.
