What a great skill to have. I remember going to a garage to view a car years ago and running a mile when I saw the scratches and chips on it. I though the salesman was having a laugh when he said it was waiting 'prep'.

Thanks mate. I’ve had a door scratch off a non licensed/insured non English chap who wasn’t too pleasant…I haven’t had a cost for it yet. But looking at this I’m prepared to buy a Halfords Colour code kit and have a go myself before I get ripped…thank you so much👍
This is a great series of videos, I’ve got road rash on the rear arches of my car and going to try this and your other techniques to tidy it up. 👍

Very interesting approach. As a DIYer with an interest in keeping our car tidy without going crazy on $£€¥ I get that simply filling a deep scratch with basecoat is a quick simple way to bring the paint surface back up to level without using paint putty and all that hassle .. but I wouldn't have thought of rubbing a base coat laden cloth over the existing clear top coat then sanding/buffing. Intriguing!
Just found your channel and it’s brilliant. Thanks so much for sharing your techniques. For somebody with not a lot of money, this is a real life saver! Just for future reference. thanks again from Perth WA. I am learning a lot from you for minor paint repairs on both daughters car, thanks for keeping them to around 10 minutes makes it easier to absorb, basically, solvent paint, 1500 and 2000 grit and a good compound with a DA or rotary and you can go a long way for DIY repairs if we follow your steps.

Perhaps but a good body and paint shop would sand the paint down past the defects, primer it, paint it, and it would be a permanent repair... The only thing I don't know about this type of "repair" is How Long does it last???
Very surprised at the finish!! Great informative video

I love it ❤❤.thanks .that's amazing
Very good results, as usual! And besides being pretty sure that's single-stage paint, I wanted to mention that I've seen some lady in Instagram (DetailGirl, I think) that actually smears on the paint (with a vilt) and then she goes straight to buffing - without sanding. I suppose that's an option as well. Only on big chips she touches up with a toothpick and sands those a little prior to buffing. Your input is always appreciated though, CVR POV. Thank you for sharing! 🙂🙏

Looks pretty great mate considering the time/resources vs result. I do spots repairs with spraying guns but its nowhere near how quick you are, material used, risks of pain fading not going well etc. Very low risks with great results on vehicles that wouldn’t need a totally A spec repairs.
Have watch 2 videos from you, love it! And i will try My self now in spring. But can you please write in the description what you exactly use in your video in detail From Sweden, love😊
