Can you use the Autel to determine if a transponder/antenna ring has quit working? Nothing worse than trying to program a key to find out the transponder ring as gone bad.

John Hollings - Hi there. So you have an IM608 and are based here in UK. Great because it seems all the youtube videos are with Americans. I wanted to be sure the Autel IM608 was for the UK market too, covering European vehicles. Can you tell me how you are getting along with your key programmer...?

i have an AUTEL IM608 want to know can it do a software update for radio under mercedes benz c300,

i could not clear A used key BE file for a mercedes benz w203 with key version 40,telling me key clearing failed is it because the version is not included in the autel im608 system software and can i clear a used key BE file for a mercedes benz w203 with key version 51 found in the system?

Yes, for many. You will need an additional bypass cable for 18+

Hello - Thank you for your question. This question is a very hard to answer without drilling down on the specifics. The VVDI2 and VVDI MB Tools share some features with the IM608 with regards to key programming. The IM608 is more streamlined in this process, but in my opinion that does not make the IM608 "better" it just makes it different.

Why doesn't Autel supply the XP400 pro with the IM608Pro kit?... why does it only come with the xp400 which does less. ??

Thank you for your question. The XP400Pro is supplied with the IM608Pro. In the past the IM608 was sold with the standard XP400 before the XP400Pro was released. Once the XP400Pro was released the new IM608 package was called the IM608Pro and that package does come with the XP400Pro.

Hello - If an existing key does not get reprogrammed with the new key it will stop working. If this happens just perform the programming procedure again with all of the keys. Thank you for your question.

Hello - Thank you for your question. The Wireless VCM (J2534) cannot be used with the IM508. If you want to use the Wireless VCM you would need to purchase the IM608.

Hi is owning the im508 with the xp400pro the same as having a im608

Thank you for your question. If you own an IM508 and purchase an XP400Pro programmer you will effectively have the same Key Programming capabilities as you would if you owned an IM608. If you need any other information please let us know.

Thank you for taking a moment to comment on our video. The message you are receiving on your IM608 is correct for this vehicle. The system for this vehicle is FBS4 and this system is not covered by any aftermarket programmer at this time.

Can im 508 and im 608 program londsor or Xhorse keys?. I have a im 508.

Thank you for your question. Once you have a Lonsdor or Xhorse Universal Key configured for the vehicle you can use the IM508. IM608, or any compatible OBD Programmer to program that Universal Key to the vehicle.

Anyone notice that JVCI maxiflash programmer often getting very hot during work on some vehicles? Audi q3 examample????

Thank you for your question. I have noticed the VCI on several different programmers generating different amounts of head at times. In my experience, when I have seen this occur, it has never been a fault of the programmer, but something specific to the vehicle like an unusually higher current draw. why can my autel im608 not program w203 key version 40 only version 51 and 21 to the EIS .

Thank you for your question. The IM608 is capable of creating Key Files in version 40 and version 51. Maybe the menus are causing confusion. In most cases, version 51 is compatible with most all FBS Vehicles. If you purchased the device from us, you can contact us for Tech Support. If you didn't purchase the device from us you can call Autel at 855-288-3587.

@@launchtech5538 In our experiences, Autel's Tech Support Tickets do work. If you aren't having success with their tickets, you can try to send Log Files directly from the device and then chat with an engineer through the Log File Portal. Other than this, being you are in another country, I am not sure what the best way would be for you to get Tech Support - Maybe reach out to your distributor.

@@launchtech5538 Thank you for your follow up question. From the Main Screen of your IM608 swipe left and then click on 'Data Manager". Once in the Data Manager Screen select "Data Logging". Once in the Data Logging Screen select "History" at the top, this will display the Data Logs on the device. Select the log of when the problem occurred, fill out the form, and submit it to Autel.

Hello -The only real issue with "bricking" Nissan Vehicles in on the Rogues. Other models do not have this issue. Many locksmiths generate good amounts of revenue programming Nissan Vehicles. Thank you for your question.
