how do you connect the cas module to read the vin number ? with the saME CONNECTION ON THE 608 PICTURE OR FROM OBD2 WITH OTHER CONNECTION? BECAUSE I JUST CAN READ THE EEPROM OR FLASH BUT NOT THE VIN.. THANKS A LOT FOR THE VIDEO

Hey Joe great information, are you able to downgrade a cas3++ istap module to write the isn ? My customer has a 2010 mini with a used dme and I'm trying to write the isn onto the cas3++ instap. Can this be done with im608 ?

yes the bench method will work. non istap, hok jumper cable to a running vehicle and program via obd, you should be good. in and out in 5 mins.

Better to add a key on bench before it happens,then do the same job plus repair cas

Someone from a key shop add my new key with Autel IM508 in like 5 min to my e60 2008 , the other 2 shops in the town couldn't do that,they said something about updating the CAS but were using other tools so i have to say that the AUTEL is a very good tool 💪🫶......i had one original bmw key the other one was lost

That's procedure it is for in case that you don't have any communication with the CAS3 plus module ?? or what's the goal?

Nice vid👌 Cas on the mini bit more difficult to get at though? Most BMW it’s just by your knee - but isn’t the Cas under the dash in these Mini’s? Much hassle to remove it?
