Thanks for the great tips, your vids are always full of info and your explanations are easy to follow. One thing I'm working on is large area hyper lapse orbits, sometimes the Evo doesn't exactly keep pointed on the center point (defined by the my boxing), even though the path seems right. If you have ever experience that or have a fix that would be great to know! Peace.

Man, you make me miss NYC where I grew up lol. Really, though, I appreciate your sharing all of your experiences. The documentation for the drone is not the best as they don't keep up with changes in the firmware so what you share has been very helpful. Changing the exponential settings to .2 is simply pure genius!

Hi, thank you for the great video on setting up the Autel EVO ll. I have the Autel EVO ll Pro and had a problem just after receiving it. The focus that was set to automatic would all of a sudden go out of focus. This happened a number of times. The drone was sent back to Autel for warranty service where they said they tested the drone, but couldn't duplicate the problem. My first flight after receiving the drone back from Autel was perfect, no focus issue. However, my second flight show the same issue. Switching to manual focus and then back to auto allowed the focus to be good again for the rest of the flight. Have you ever had a focus issue like I described, and if so, what did you do to cure the problem?

If you're recording in Log, you can push the hilights to +1 and maybe even +2 and pull them back in DaVinci or FCP. They come out really nice. It'll give you solid blacks and clean whites with less noise.

I practice stick movements for all orientations with the Mini 2 to keep my muscle memory fresh. A large empty field is good for beginners so they can look at the screen stay focused on the shot and not worry about hitting anything. If you ever think your in trouble just let go of the stick and the quad will stop.

The smart controller is coming soon. even though I dont use them, for those who want one, u will soon have that option.

The more I use Evo II the more I like it. I'd like to see a true hyperlapse. Mission set it for a particular 2 second shot, 1/4 shutter and set a poi of an object and see how you come out. Mavic II videos of climbing shot hypers I have seen pretty impressive. I belive this can do just as good, but not as many fly these machines. Some where having an issue above 7 seconds of video. Interested to see your results.

New trip this year....Honolulu to LAX to JFK and sleep a bit and then to Rome. Train from Rome to Napoli and ferry (one time a took the train from Rome to Palermo) to Palermo Sicily.....Nuts! Never been to New York.....

6K is more professional and much better suited for night flying 💪 8K is more for hobbyist, it's still excellent for cropping but it's got a much smaller sensor! And thanks for sharing 😊 Happy Flying & Please Subscribe for more if you haven't already, thanks again 🙂

Your settings are fine and real. 👍👍👍 2:06 11:28 This is not good: unfortunately, the image jumps and is not smooth. Choice is wrong in digital photography. 50 with 24 you have a remainder, and the image makes leaps. 🤔

@@drone_labs_ Autel leaves it up to the responsible operator to be, well, responsible. No geofencing is one reason an EVO of some sort will always be in my fleet.

I think you say is ‘haze’ is because he’s filming in log mode so he can push the colors later. Log mode, the video will appear to be washed out, but all the info is still in the video file so the colors can be pushed later in post processing.
