    Europe is a pretty diverse place, in my country alone we have dozens of different accents. In some parts of the country two people only have to travel 50 miles to meet someone with an accent even more wide ranging than American and Australian.

  • @lloroshastar6347

    @lloroshastar6347

    3 жыл бұрын

    @VeRoxSadie Yeah I know there are plenty of accents but in Europe the languages have been evolving for over a thousand years and you have a lot of diversity in accents that have developed naturally over time, not just as a result of immigration. Most people when they come to the UK are surprised at the Scouse or Geordie accents for example, they claim that they don't even sound like they are from the same country, but they are as English as I am. Plus we have a lot of diversity in the UK too, especially in London, we have quite a high level of immigration here.

    Lol this was so amusing (Australian here), but at least where I live in Australia, the accent, nor the words are as hardcore stereotypical Australian. And we have, I'd say, about three slight variations of the accent. There is the stereotypical "gd eye might" accent, deep in the country, and then just a generic one that many people speak (which I can't quite describe right now), and the third one is the slightly more English sounding that you might hear more around the main cities - like Sydney. Just thought it might be interesting to write this lol - so don't mind me...

    Dragon Of Something yeah I agree, I've definitely noticed that. Maybe it's because of it being because people coming from Britain more back then than now, and a stricter way of teaching??? That's my guess.....

    I have a Kiwi accent and everyone thinks It's the same as the Aussie accent but the Aussies have more of a tang. They also say mate and we say bro/bruh/bruv.
