2021 for me

This happened to me in March this year on an EMERGENCY FLIGHT from Florida. We had to fight to get on the flight as my dad had important medication he could not do without, they separated us into different classes and me, my dads carer was told I wasn't able to see him during the 8 hour flight. The plane got to the runway, stopped, turned back and went straight back to the gate. An engine and the cooling system on the plane started to overheat and they told us to stay on the plane as if we went off we weren't allowed back on the plane while all air-con was turned off and people started overheating in standard class (Where I was situated). Ended up being kicked off the plane after 2 hours and the only reason we were given a hotel stay for the night was because my mum had been placed in first class and got first choice. This was the last emergency flight back to England, we were being dropped off at the other end of the country, lost our bus back to our home, booked a train, ended up being delayed 24 hours so missed that to and had to pay for another train only to be told we could get a free bus back to halfway up the country. No refund, We lost 2 weeks of holiday just to be told 'lol nothing for you' Worst part is there was people on the plane who could not speak English and they were left completely alone as staff could not help them.

tbh the people i feel the most sorry for are the employees on the plane who had to handle the backlash that was out of their control. a good portion of this rant was very much pointed towards the staff on the front lines that literally couldn't do anything about it.

(Assuming it was the cause of this) Strikes should not put innocent people at risk. If they were going to strike, they should have done it from the start of the shift, not in the middle of the day. If you're going to strike and put the people on your plane at risk, transfer them to a different plane from a different company. During teacher strikes, they don't go into class, wait until 4th period, and then lock all the doors and windows without any answers for the children. No, teachers don't even enter the building during strike. They don't get the children involved, or put the children at risk.

Leyel Damac There was a LOT they could have done about it! They could have told people to get off the plane, they could have turned the plane around, transferred their passengers, OFFERED A REAL EXPLANATION AND MAYBE TRIED TO HELP? If you're in a taxi, and you're stuck in traffic, your driver is going to look for alternative routes. If you're stranded on a dead ferry out in the middle of the bay, the captain is going to contact someone to get the passengers off the boat, and onto safe, dry land, or get the ferry towed to shore, or IF NOTHING ELSE, make everyone trapped in this small space as comfortable as possible. One of the fuckers didn't even try to help a woman who was having a seizure. They didn't do anything to try to help anyone, and instead insisted people stay on the hot, cramped, humid plane, where people were at risk of dying, and didn't tell anyone anything. They deserve every curse word said in this video, and more that weren't. It was entirely within their control.

They could contact the news and encourage the other passengers to all pitch in to mass-sue the company. If word got out that one person wanted to sue, if the airline is as bad as people are saying, dozens of other people will want to jump in and participate in the lawsuit for the injuries/damages/ distress/etc they've experienced.

Lesson learned I hope! I flew once with one of the budget airlines and now only fly with Delta (unless they are not available). I know someone people keep using the budget kind and never stop complaining about the experience 🤦‍♀️.

I LITERALLY HATE ALLEGIANT. I almost missed a cruise out of Puerto Rico because they canceled the plane due to "bad weather". They didn't give us refunds either. We did fortunately find another flight, but it still pisses me off

This is singlehandedly my favorite video in this entire channel and I don't know why. Maybe I just like seeing joey and aki in pure unfiltered rage over lol

The voucher thing pisses me off. I'm a teacher and we took all the 5th graders to sea world last year. Parents had to pay $150 for the trip. Long story short, it rained and they shut the park down about an hour after we got there. The other teachers and I stood in line, in the rain, with no umbrellas, for an HOUR to get a refund for our kids. Guess what? Sea world does not offer refunds. BUT they gave each kid a ticket to come back for free. Gee, thanks. Most of these kids are low-income. Their parents paid for the trip over the course of an entire school year, sometimes in installments of 10 of 20 bucks. They aren't going to be able to afford to bring the whole family back to sea world. That's bullshit. Anyway, sorry about the rant. But that kind of money-hungry "customer service" really pisses me off.

Even this happened 2 years ago, I still relate. When I was on a school trip in the mountains, on the way home our school bus had troubles and we had to stop in a small town. It was 55°F in snow and cold weather where we sat in the bus for a whole 6 hours. It was miserable, I can only imagine how you all felt.

Dangerous Dragon That’s basically like saying: there’s people who have everything and a family, there’s people who have everything and that feel happy and there’s kids who’s parents are there for them, and you’re not complaining? Basically, what I’m trying to say is that saying people shouldn’t complain because people have it worse than them, is the exact same as saying that people shouldn’t be happy because people have it better than them. Change your way of thinking, open your mind a bit more. Of course there are always people who have it bad like the examples you gave, and we shouldn’t ignore that, but sitting in an airplane for a long time is bad as well.

You handled this situation a lot better than my dad would have. My dad used to fly with that plane line when I was little. He traveled a lot for work when I was a kid due to working for the department of energy. I can remember like clockwork he would come home and have some kind of a complaint about his flight whether it was something like what Joey and Aki dealt with, or something even worse. Eventually he just gave up on the airline all together and has sworn off ever flying with them again unless it's an emergency and he has no other choice.

For anyone questioning if this is warranted criticism or if this is just a one time thing, I fly back and forth from Oakland to Arizona using Allegiant fairly regularly and I can say with full confidence, NEVER use them for an important flight like that. It's fine for me because it's such a short flight but they will fu** you over. Quick trip with no time limit is fine but seriously never use them for a connecting or important flight. Everyone in my family has had a bad experience with them. We only use them for last minute cheap flights knowing full well what they can pull and because the airport is 5 minutes away from my folks house in AZ. So sorry you guys went through this.

Why did this end up in my recommended when it happened a year ago. LOL

The fuel thing is rather universal for cheap airlines, they add just enough fuel to make it from A to B and not a drop more. This to save fuel costs but it's a horrible practice as it can turn out deadly in the long run if you slip up somewhere. Either you need to refuel because of waiting too long or you fall from the sky and end up in a crash. So is it safe for those inside the aircraft? I'd say not at all. With the engine overheating, that sounds to me like poor maintenance, the FAA would drill their asses if not completely shut them down for something like that.

FAA would start frying their asses in the fuel issue since it's required to have more than what you need just in case you are forced to circle. The overheating issue, yeah they're going to the roasted to high hell with that since that is improper maintenance.

I passed out at school and hit my head, the school called my parents and asked if they should call 911. For some people it seems like "DUH!!" about if you should or shouldn't, but here in lovely old America it's a case of "should we call 911" is code for "can you afford the ambulance?" Also some people are just really bad in situations like that and their flight attendants need to be trained on handling emergencies like that so they don't freeze up.

That's a pretty bad excuse. In the US, there are multiple hospitals that are "pay if you can". Not all, and probably not the majority, but there are certain hospitals that will save you first, and ask questions later. All they care about is saving your life, and if it turns out you can't afford the care, well that's okay, they have plenty of people who can afford to pay them for their services, what matters is that you're alive.

Yeah, I was thinking this as well. The attendant was waiting until the woman was conscious so she could ask the woman whether or not she needs an ambulance. I've had many fainting spells and I always appreciate when people wait for me to come to before taking action in calling 911 because I can't pay $2,000 for an ambulance ride, especially since my fainting spells can easily be fixed with a bottle of water, a small meal, and rest.

MizukiUkitake The hospital will always treat, and will always make sure they get their money from you. They will set you up with payment plans, loans, etc. to pay off medical bills, but they will NOT just let you walk out without any discussion of payment. You don't get a free pass just because you can't afford it. I really wish we had that sort of system but we don't. Ambulance ride alone in my area is $2,000 dollars, and hopefully you have good insurance to cover the expenses within the hospital because that's all that will be covered, and usually it's a percentage of the costs rather than a base value (depending on your insurance of course).

Joey kept interrupting aki it was hilarious seeing aki just sit their like “LEMME SPEAK DAMMIT” lmao. But seriously I’m sorry to hear this guys, especially because I’ve been through this with delta airlines and they held us back TWICE from our flight because “we had a delay” TWICE IN A ROW so I had to stay were I was for two extra days than needed because my flight was “delayed” or “someone took my seat” SOMEHOW someone took my seat so yeah I understand how you guys feel completely and I hope you guys have a fun time at anime con

This reminded me of a trip I went on with my brother, both of us were underage and traveling alone, and we were coming home from Chile, but I don’t know why, we got on the plane and they kept us there for 2 hours but then they told us that we couldn’t take off, so they made us go back to the gate and then wait for 8 hours, they gave us a food voucher, but it was so late almost everything was closed. Everything BUT cinnamon bun, and they couldn’t accept the food vouchers. At the time I didn’t have enough money for a Cinnabon bun, but the guy that worked there took pity on my situation gave me one for free. I insisted on Tiping him all I had left, but he refused and that’s all me and my brother ate that night. I’ll be forever grateful for that guy. Thankfully they put us on another plane and we got home safely. Also, my school’s headmaster was traveling with us and gave us a pass to miss school the next day because of what happened.

This is one of those situations where lawsuits occur. From multiple people.

I just feel like saying this; I am a student and currently getting an education in travelling (not sure what the correct term for it would be in english, but flights, travelling that sort of stuff) And even with as little experience as I have I can tell you that the fault is not the workers at the flight but the higher ups. I'm sure that the workers were just as confused as you, though this is something that should not happen. Whatever a pilot is told to do he/she has to do it, otherwise he/she is most likely going to face issues and then could possibly lose their livelyhood. I have talked with several pilots and flight attendants and they have several stories similar to this, they are told there are problems that they clearly can see isn't there but still can't do anything about it, they want to get the passengers off, but isn't allowed to etc. If you're not blaming the workers at the scene that just destroys what i just spent five minutes on. It's terrible to hear what you've gone to and this shouldn't be anything hid under a rug, I hope the both of you are still able to have a good time in Finland, it's awesome there (But not as awesome as Norway *Winkyface* )

Torrix The fact that the higher-ups pretty much just put it on the workers to try and stall for their stupidity because then that puts stress and backlash on the workers because you have a bunch of customers that don't know what the hell is being done and no one is getting answers, hell a lady had a damn seizure and another person has asthmatic problems because of the shit! And then having the workers just go and not really tell what's going on and not even bothering to inform their workers of what the hell is going on, that makes the workers looks fucking horrible, the amount of clusterfuck is insane😑

I was just about to say. They are ranting at the cabin crew but what could they do if there were management issues, something that they have nothing to do with. As well as the whole 'well get us back to the gate then' or 'why do they stay in the sun', especially on a big airport like Vegas, things like that are not that easy because of the tight schedule. I ofcourse get why they're mad and the airway shouldn't have lied, but some of the things they are blaming them for were probably out of the airways hands (like airport schedule and rules).

Titus Priz the Wiz I NEVER once had a problem with them personally and all their employees are incredibly nice. If you look down in the comments there are a few flight attendants and workers that have given the reason why they would take these actions. Not to be a dick, but Aki and Joey handled this situation very immaturely. While I get their anger, posting on social media in detail about it was very unnecessary, especially when telling their followers to attack the airlines, just because they had one bad experience and happened to have somewhere important to go. They know nothing about flight and the safety of passengers, this video proves it. Don't take your childish anger out on me when you should be taking it out on your precious Anime KZreadrs for being uneducated on the situation entirely.

Taylor Heil an elderly woman almost died from a seizure. And the staff only ask if the woman they needed to call 911 AFTER AFTER.... AFTER AAAAFFFTTTTEERRRRR other passengers with medical degrees have already help her calm down. Not when she started to have the seizure. Not when people were calling if there are a doctor in the plane. AFTER. How is that "Pretty Great?" This isn't just having one bad experience.(I've had bad experiences) This is the WORSE impression anyone could get in an airplane. Terrible staff. Terrible communication. One person almost died and they did NOTHING. And they expect those same people to come back because of a discount???
