I think the no dot variety cause the die was filled, and is actually a dot variety is common. The actual no dot 1920 penny is probably about as rare as the double dot.

Ah I see. Most 1920 pennys I have seen are single dot.

@@Gumardee_coins_and_banknotes yeah I had about 20 no dot 1920's. When i looked into it, none had identifying markers that they were 1920 no dot, so I got a couple of 1920 with a die crack under the 1920, that sort of goes all the way around the coin. Reasonably nice coins and cheap. It's good to know i have actual 1920 no dot coins in my sets

Thanks for explaining this. Mine despite being in ok nic (about the same condition as yours in the video) has no denticles on that side on the outer rim. That dot on yours is there but it is so hard to miss. Mine has a similar subtle dot above the bottom scroll. Really appreciate your lesson. Thanks.

Yes they can be work, if the coin is well circulated or damaged.
