“Got it yesterday, haven’t been able to take it off my wrist...” Literally wearing another watch saying that.
A few more close-ups of the pieces would've been nice.

Definitely a collection to generate plenty of envy. Agree with the others on production. Couldn't hear anything the host said -- listening to him made ME gasp for air a few times... Also, I thought it was production no-no to shoot into the light (bright background).

Sweet collection! Austen collects what he likes and he WEARS his watches! What's wrong with liking and collecting hard to get AP and PPs? I'm not in the same price category but I have hard to get SS Rolex timepieces along with Omega, Panerai, Tudor, and Swatches. I love my watches! It's my collection and I wear it for myself and not anyone else. A collection is what one makes of it. Austen's collection is bloody impressive that ANY real collector would want (for all the negative people - if given half the chance you'd be jumping all over those watches).

I’m sorry I’m so shallow as not to be able to stand 5 seconds of the interviewer’s voice. @@art854 Jealousy and envy are driving the dislikes. Austen's collection is impressive. Just because they are hard to get, social media trendy, hyped, or whatever you want to call it - it is a collection most people only dream of owning. And sure they may not to be everyone's liking and maybe its not to your liking or your style but these are the watches driving the watch market, whether you/haters like it or not. That's what there are so many brands across all different price points. Everyone is free to choose and collect what they like. And @PPRM L, please feel free to impress and dazzle us all with your watch collection because I'd like to know.

Great interview with a collector who isn’t famous or a watch dealer and brings a younger perspective that isn’t based on the watch they got for graduating. The comments here are disappointing- it exposes a pretentiousness in our community that isn’t based on how much a watch costs, but in relation to the taste of individuals and the reasons they collect. Not saying this to change minds, but letting those with open minds who are reading the comments to know not everyone in this community is closed-minded and toxic. Sorry for the rant, people are allowed to not like certain videos, but the basis for the criticism in these comments is just pathetic.

Horo Loupe you have 2 core designs here...BOTH of which are the usual suspects.. (i.e., AP RO and Nautilus)...Variety and or individuality is the spice of life. Having 8-10 watches from a couple of core designs that are not the usual suspects is ok...or having at least some variety is good. However, if you just prescribe to the usually suspects, it shows very little to be desired for, in terms of taste. I want to challenge you to try other brands and/or models that are not instagram friendly....If it’s about prestige and quality, Patek and AP don’t even make the best watches..
@algorithm007ify

K ev I dislike this collection because it has no variety, no individuality, is parodical and very BORING ...Deal with it. The irony is that you are on a high horse if you say “get off your high horse”... Do not force your value system on me, From your comments, it is quite evident that I can judge things better than you. Acceptance of everything is acceptance of nothing. Moreover, did I ever say I don’t like the collection because it is different from mine??? Answer: NO ...Learn how to conduct logical thought, please. The bottom line is that this guy can collect anything he wants and I can say ANYTHING about his taste, based on the factual observations that I have made. I am not going to use my voice to encourage sheepleness, mediocrity, and douche-bag-ery. SOrry!
@JizzyNinja

@Watch Aficionado so you’re saying you have to have variety in your collection. For him, within AP he’s found variety. Are people who collect subs or Daytona’s also not real collectors? Also don’t tell people they don’t understand any form of logic when you use the “if you say x, then you’re actually x” with the high horse shit - that’s elementary school shit. And on that note, stop trying to bully people in the comments of a KZread video to back up your own point of view to feed your own insecurities.

Your collection is worth less than a million USD. I feel extremely sorry for you that your most expensive watch is the AP concept. It’s nothing to brag about. Maybe you can wear the AP concept go to some clubs and you can fool some girls but you cannot fool the watch community.

PPRM L you made this exact comment 3 times already. Nautilus’ were NOT desirable in 2015/2016 (especially in China), and there wasn’t really a waitlist at all for those watches. A watch collector isn’t defined by how rich they are, it’s about the emotions these pieces drive in you, and it’s an extension to personal expression. I know plenty of collectors that are richer than me and have better pieces. They definitely do not show the same sentiments that you do.
