Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them). Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI). Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The hunting ability of a boomerang is more of a value than its ability to comeback to the thrower.also it is more lethal than what most think it is.this is a different sport altogether

Really cool! During WWII, my older friend was in the US Army, stationed in Australia. He brought back a boomerang that looks like the ones you made. He told me it was for hunting, and that it isn't designed to come back, so we made some "X" shaped 'rangs, and I eventually got to throwing around a tree and catching it. I have his Australian 'rang hanging on the wall, and to me it's a beautiful piece of art.

The normal hunting boomerang doesn't return and is heavier. It is spinning at high speed and can do a lot of damage. It is thrown with a flat trajectory and is quite accurate. It flies close to the ground and is used to take out large lizards and wallabies among other mammals. Then there is the boomerang used in war. This is bigger and heavier, and has one arm longer than the other. The short arm has a shaped stone bound and glued to the end of the arm. This can easily fracture a person's skull.

Considering the weapon was developed at a time when Australia did not have rabbits, it’s understandable that it is ineffective. From what anecdote I can remember, the boomerang is effective at crippling kangaroos, and possibly other longer-legged sprinters such as the emu.

There was no rabbits but a a lot of small marsupials and wallabies getting around... Made from Australian hardwood with a thin edge, if an emu or a man cops one to the head or neck, they won't be getting back up..

This is such an awesome way to hunt. It gives the animals a sporting chance!

My mother married an airline pilot in the 1960's and Australia was one of his routes along with Tokyo, Bankok and Hong Kong. He once brought me back a boomerang that looked just like yours only a little more refined. He said it was for hunting. Now I understand.

That coney would've been scrumptious with a sprig of thyme bay leaf, and shallots or leeks minced in water and white wine simmered for 1 hour , then add chopped taters, carrot and a bit if salt and pepper or Hungarian paprika.

Love it the one where it could gone left or right its like you are trying to move your body to move it in air😂😂😂. I do this all the time but my medaclorian counts must be too low.

My sister once threw a shoe at a wild rabbit in our yard and actually hit it! She felt terrible about it because she was just trying to scare it away. The rabbit stumbled a little but ran off when it pulled itself back together. I suggest you throw your shoe, and if the rabbit's still kicking when you run up to it, beat it with the boomerang.

I was riding my motorcycle and a rabbit ran out from the side of the road. I stuck my foot out to prevent it from getting run over by the back tire. The impact of my boot broke it's back & killed it instantly. So I threw it over the handlebars and brought it home. I cleaned it & mom made a great stew!

Very few hunting rabbits in Australia hunt for food. That would be like an exterminator saying he kills termites for food.

When you're visiting the Flintstones for Christmas and the grandma's mom pulls up this video and says this is how I met your father

Rabbits: here comes that crazy dude with his boomerang again, I'm about to go out there and mess wit em' watch this.

I'd always assumed the return-to-home feature of a boomerang was so the projectile could be thrown again quickly, but looking at that first near-miss, it dawned on me that the unique flight trajectory of a boomerang might actually be designed to strike targets from unexpected angles, for instance where the quarry sits behind obstacles that would block a straight-line shot. All told, it looks like an extremely difficult skill to master.

The returning ones are toys, or sometimes can be used with birds on the wing in flocks. These hunting ones only go straight due to the fact it's hard enough to judge where the game will be by the time it gets there as it is.

Great video Warwick. It illustrates so well just how difficult it is to hunt with any traditional weapon. The amount of practice that Koori Australians must have invested to hunt very effectively with spears, sticks and boomerangs just boggles the mind.

Thanks, I think they had no other choice but to get good at (do or die). I have met an aboriginal tribal man who used to live off the land and even he told me of the extreme struggles they had to survive.

the boomerang was invented to hunt drop bears. they have super thick hide that spears and arrows can't easily penetrate. so they made an aerodynamic bit of wood so they could knock them out of trees and stun them long enough to beat them to death with clubs.

Lefty to lefty, I finally tried a boomerang last year(thinking only the dexterous could throw them proper. I was wrong) now I'm thinking with this amazing spin it can outdistance a knife for its momentum! Wow.

On a future episode: "Oy, 'ello there, today we're in the Alaska Tundra hunting brown bears with, you guessed it, a BOOMERANG."

When he actually nails a bunny with that thing, he can say he's been hunting. So far all he's done is throw a stick around in the bush! lol

Most people struggle to hit rabbits with a rifle or shogun, then you have this guy landing hits with a boomerang. Nice throwing.

Nah, they were meant to hunt with. The ones that come back are just toys, likely originally meant for kids to play with as practice for using the real ones to hunt. They can be pretty big too, since it's not the size that makes them fly properly but the cross section wing shape. So one that's like club sized could be used to kill or at the least injure more than a rabbit, and as a club for melee combat (and thanks to the shape that top heavy end is quite the striking surface)

Guardian831 Well it all happened when my mom and dad met. They are old fashioned so they went on a couple dates then the old fashioned people they are they waited to get married before sex. Well after marriage my mom got my dads last name and they started a family. I’m the 3rd born and they named me Michael thus Mike Fernandez.

I had a snare run when I was a kid. Always took my bow but I flushed many more rabbits in to the snares than I ever got with my bow.

I guess those rabbits felt themselves very relaxed when they saw this guy with boomerang in his hand

Re title this: Man throws wood thing at rabbits making fun of him for throwing sticks

You can see how with practice every day you'd get really good at this, no wonder people used to use them.

Over a dozen boomerangs were found in Tuts tomb, as well as several throwing sticks that no one has figured out how to use them yet. Another way to hunt with them is to get as close to birds eating on the ground. Then scare the flock and as they start to fly, throw it through, and count how many you hit. To hunt bigger birds, there was an 8/to 10 foot long boomer that is propped on the front of your shoulder, run towards that emu, ostrich etc, and then fling it by pushing it with your shoulder as you lift and launch it.
