Aurora - Runaway - Reaction Video - Chill-fest!!!!

This young artist doesn't cease to amaze me. After nearly weeping while watching her Murder 5,4,3,2,1 song, this performance brought me on a musical journey of both joy and heart-felt emotions. This musical composition is clearly a masterpiece. I think I have it figured out, folks. She is not of this world. She must be an angel...

    there is another video of this performance that shows her face close up after the song. When the audience applauds is when she steps back and her face expresses confusion for the briefest moment like she is surprised other people are there. She absolutely lives the songs as she sings, its amazing.

    @@larryshair I have been seeing a lot of requests to react to It Happened Quiet. I know that most reactors want to come in blind, but please read the lyrics and some commentary on that one first. It's about a relationship that has gone really bad and violent and needs to be treated delicately, but is so beautiful that many people miss the point. Most reviews are along the lines of 'wow, this is beautiful and makes me feel so good' which considering the subject matter is not appropriate.

    Another great reaction Larry! Your ability to notice the nuances....especially at the end there......she transports us to another place b/c she herself has gone there, and, it's visible!!!! There is a much more 'personal' version of this song done in her OWN HOME, in what looks like could be a small den area. It was made during the lockdown..... Once again, I'm strongly suggestion *lol* "Eyes of a Child" and "It Happened Quiet" from Live in Nidarosdomen. If you're emotional "now"....and yeah I was too watching this, you're probably going to have to pause the video a few times for these two songs..... BTW, Live in Nidarosdomen is in an OLD, Gothic-Like Church......with a full orchestra and an all male choir..... I literally have to prepare myself b/c I know what is to follow! Once again, thanks for taking this journey so we can all experience it with you!!!!

    I hope for more too. This young Lady, born in Norway (a real Viking), is something very special. She is a singer, songwriter, composer and producer. She started composing music at the age of 6. When she was 9, she wrote her first song in English. Before that in Norwegian. She never wanted to be famous. She wrote only for herself and in secret. It wasn't until she was 15 that her mother found out what she was capable of and persuaded her to share her music with other people. It would be selfish not to do it. She had previously canceled a record company when one of the songs she performed at school was secretly recorded and posted online without her knowledge. This is how the record company became aware of her. She is what many role models should be. Absolutely down-to-earth, extremely emphatic (she already cries when she sees people crying), absolutely open-hearted, very funny, an extreme nature lover (she couldn't live without her forests. She has absolutely no inhibitions about saying what she thinks. But one thing very funny way (if she starts sweating under her arms at her concerts, she tells everyone that too 😁). She was once asked what her hobbies are. She said reading, cooking and masturbating 😁. Her interviews are always an experience. She is highly intelligent and has a memory like an elephant (she can recite the number pi up to 200 decimal places). She likes to talk to her fans between songs. Her trademark are almost uncontrollable movements of her body while she sings. Usually dances one to the music. In her case, the music dances with her. She feels everything she sings and sings nothing that she is not responsible for. She has remained human to this day. All her songs are special. She doesn't sing perfectly, but with enough feeling that it works perfectly. This lady is a real treasure among the stars.

She is a Better kind of human and one of the most important and gifted musical talents of my lifetime. She studied dance and does use her whole body to convey her music. Her music is rooted in genuine concern for the planet and all people believing we can band together and have a better kinder more joyful and safer world. She is confident and complex and 100 percent humility. I also watch Eivor, who has the most stunning voice EVER-- watch Falling Free and watch Susan Sundfor sing Undercover at The oslo Opera House and you will be in a river of your own tears. Also Silja Sol a huge talent who was the gal playing the guitar and Auror's backup singer. She left in May to puruse her own career. Be well

    Okay. So watching her perform reminds me of some of the performers in the 60's, except they were on LSD or mushrooms to get them to that place. I think what we are observing is her in her natural state. Very intriguing to watch, it's like watching pure honesty express itself. Most of the musicians today all look the same while performing, as if they're coached. She just does what she feels, it doesn't matter, and we get to sit back & watch to see what comes out. It's like watching a child dance blissfully unaware anyone is watching. She is new to me, I am fascinated.

    This might be a bigger commitment then you want to take on, but I think your ready for it. The Haik Concert and Documentary before it will really take head on into the world of Aurora, who she is, where she came from, her parents, music, the way she connects with her fans. The way her fans connect with her. Together it's over an hour of time, but believe me you won't regret a minute of it, you might even like me wish it was even longer.

    I discovered Aurora only about a year ago. You tube algorithms be blessed they kept suggesting her to me but I kept skipping her from the stills she looked eccentric and weird in ways I wouldn't enjoy...boy was I wrong. I watched the video for this song first and was blown away by her voice and the songs composition..I then binged watched song after song, live, studio, video..interview. With each step I became more and more blown away. At 47 this Norwegian angel has become by far my favorite artist, and possibly person. While I do not agree with all of her leanings, I'm certain she doesn't mind. She sees people, loves people and wants what's best for them. I most certainly cannot disagree with that!

    Love your two Aurora reactions. Can't wait until you do Lucky. I have one tiny issue. I think you may want to adjust your audio. I have found I have to turn up the volume to hear you clearly then turn it down for the music. Anyone else with the same issue or just me? Audio can be tricky. Been trying to figure out mine for a year and I am still not happy with how I sound. Keep up with the reactions. By far my favorite artist is Aurora but if you want some hard edge rock, check out The Warning.

    Please consider her performance of Lucky and Through the eyes of a child at the Nidaros Cathedral (Nidarosdomen Live) a ~950 year old cathedral in Norway. By far in my opinion her most celebrated performance. “Lucky” she has said is for the little boy who “couldn’t find his inner conquer.” And for those who struggle with suicidal thoughts. And Through the Eyes of a Child is about wanting to see the world as a child instead growing up and see the world’s terrible flaws as an adult. Thank you for your reactions to this angel.

    You might like to watch a short documentary (11min) called AURORA - Nothing is Eternal (A Documentary) kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZqqYpNGre5mdpM4.html It gives a nice introduction and insight into Aurora as a person, her background and the way she sees life. Filmed in Norway, talking with her friends, we see her mother and father. There are smatterings of some of her songs in it, but not enough to spoil you doing separate reactions to them (there's also a more upbeat version of Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1) as a contrast to the one you've already reacted to).

    About her Accent she has said growing up she listened to Enya almost exclusively, it's evident in both her accent and styling of music. I can't say it's for 100% certain but for me, the folksy almost Irish Lilt to her English seem to fit.

  • @michaelgoetze2103

    @michaelgoetze2103

    I think she mixes it up a bit. When she speaks she uses an English accent but with certain words when she sings - like can't - she does seem to go more Irish. Perhaps it depends on the musical requirement: words like can't in English can sound a bit more flat.
