Serious heart breaking lyrics packed in light music and fun performance. That's what Aurora does on a regular basis. The end is that these songs can sometimes cause extremely mixed feelings and you question yourself how you can have so much fun with such a serious topic. And already you deal more deeply with the topic. Aurora also manages to lift the mood of people who are directly affected by the topic. She goes to their level at the beginning of a song and pulls them up with her at the end. And the people who have never dealt with these issues make them think about it. And Btw... Aurora takes off her shoes during the concert because "live is better without shoes" as she herself said here. 😁 And Aurora feels most comfortable in front of a small and smallest audience. This has always been the case. Personal opinion of Dimash. He really is the best voice in the world. Technically absolutely perfect. But that's all there is to it. I don't feel anything through his music. All used excessively. Performance, vocal circus. I buy absolutely nothing from him. It all doesn't seem real and extremely strange. And annoying in the long run, because I personally feel constantly overwhelmed. Like on a drug trip only with sounds.

Silja Sol is very talented. She does her own music in addition to assisting Aurora. She has decided to focus more on her own music now and we will not see her with Aurora on a regular basis, but I can't imagine she will go cold turkey on performing with Aurora. The way Silja Sol is able to harmonize so perfectly speaks volumes of her talent as a musician.

Am absolutely loving your reactions to Aurora, of whom I am a huge fan. Try not to worry about smiling when you listen to Aurora, as she does that to us all, such is her genius. Aurora has a unique ability to write songs about very dark subjects, and yet make them sound so utterly gorgeous, and even uplifting. I had the privilege of seeing one of her concerts here in the UK in 2019, and was totally blown away. If you ever get the chance to attend one of her concerts, grab it while you can. I promise you won't be disappointed. Also, on a few other things you said here; Yes, Dimash has arguably the best voice of any male singer I have ever heard, and I feel sure you will be amazed when you hear him. Angelina Jordan is another Norwegian genius. She is now 15, and just keeps getting better with every song. Another absolute gem I would recommend you listen to is Eivor, a singer from the Faroe Islands who astonishes me every time I listen to her. As a suggestion, you could try "Falling Free" live at the Old Theatre in Torshavn. Whatever happens, I shall look forward to your continuing journey with Aurora. Thank you and take good care.

As I said in another comment on another song, I absolutely love the concert at KEXP 🥰❤️ This is what Aurora herself says about “Churchyard”: "'Churchyard' is just like the concept of someone bigger using their power in the wrong way, that happens all the time in politics, with children, women. I wanted the songs to feel empowering - like at the end of 'Churchyard', she comes back to haunt him." - AURORA So when she makes those noises, it’s her coming back to haunt him/her 😅

Hello there! Nice to see more and more people from all places and ages appreciating this amazing artist and showing how she makes you feel. That's her biggest gift: to make you feel. This was the first whole set I listened from her and I was completely...I can't find words. Captured, mesmerized, I suppose. "Churchyard" like many other songs is so powerful and cathartic. While you can relate with the pain of the topic, listening to the lyrics, and get to touch that part (that you can find inside yourself if you delt with verbal abuse, bullying ecc...or you can just feel it through her performance) the music brings you to a place where all that pain is turned into strenght, into a slap to whoever said those words "you belong in a churchyard" (or your personal version of mean words that have been said to you). I get this feeling like in the end, the most upbeat part represents really the comeback of the hurt person that proves that "yes, those words caused wounds, but look what came out of that attempt to destroy me, ahah!! I just dance and sing away from your misery and anger, I still can fly high and go away from the darkness you tried to cage me in" I truly love this song. Well...I truly love A LOT of her songs. Easier to name the very few I do not. Very very few. Thank you for showing yourself to the yt world, I'll check out other videos! I actually have to admit that I also wanted to start a reaction channel just for reacting to her...I think not a lot of people are focusing on her lyrics and all the possible meanings...so I really like that you also touch that. I'll never have the gut and tools to do it myself. For example, one of the most dense and interesting songs, to analyze much more for the lyrics than the musicality (which is also very interesting) is "Soulless creatures". I'm gonna check, maybe you already reacted to that piece of universal wisdom. omg, didn't realize I wrote that much until I posted it.... eheh. (sweaty smiling face)

The drummer, Magnus, is her best friend from the band it seems, according to the "Once Aurora" documentary. They are very close. At some point Magnus wanted to stop going on tour and playing drums, and only focus on producing, because he's also her producer. But he thought he would lose her friendship so he changed his mind. It's reassuring for her to have him around when anxiety kicks in, like when she goes to see a big group of fans, where she let them touching, huging, despite the fact that she doesn't really like that, she does it anyway. She has such a good heart, but also fragile... like most of us I guess. "Once Aurora" is a very interesting" documentary. A little bit outdated one might say, but very good.

The wonderful thing about Aurora and what sets her apart from other artists is her songwriting, there is so much depth to her lyrics,so much meaning it’s easy to understand why as a young girl she spent a lot of time listening to Bob Dylan and Lenard Cohan both great wordsmiths in the art of songwriting.then add on the emotion that takes over as she performs and transports you to a place where you actually feel your there seeing everything played out before your very eyes.wow! It’s an understatement to say that Aurora is special she is a Genius there is no other word for it and we are truly blessed to have her musical poetry in our lives it’s a medicine for the soul.❤️🍎🎭

It is very good that you pause, most of the singers like it, and some have even requested it of reactors to encourage people to go to their channels to listen uninterrupted because they lose views on their channels due to so many people listening to reactors instead of going to their channel and listening to the song. Angelina's team has requested reactors to pause, so all of her fans will be very happy to see you pause, also they would request reactors to put the original link on the page and encourage people to watch that uninterrupted. I love how Aurora can tell such deep and disturbing ideas in such a happy package of a song. It reminds me of when I was young I used to love singing the song "Alouette" I did not know French, then one day someone ask me if I understood the words I sang. of course I did not and had no idea that it meant taking apart a bird to cook it.

I'll chime in : pausing is perfectly fine for a reaction, that's actually the whole point, imho, as long as you rewind a bit afterwards (which is what is done), so no issue there :) ... As for the songs, for me and to make it short, Churchyard = verbal abuse, It happened quiet = physical abuse (being or not related, as far as I know, Aurora never confirmed they were ?). Running with the wolves and Murder Song are completly unrelated, though, imho. Anyway, another great reaction, looking forward to more Aurora ;)

It isn't that he has the "best" voice in the world, but he is a phenomenal musical talent, right up there with the best, with a crazy 6 octave voice range, and a humble, sweet energy. Nothing to complain about, just letting you know that she'll surprise you in so many other times and ways. :-) This little concert is a great example of that, you can listen to those same song and find them so different even if they are the same, just by the energy she' putting in it. One thing is always their: her meaning, she never use a single word on her writting that is not to express something, even if at the end it's all so poetic, she desn't ''fill'' the space with empty words. Some other mention that, in this song you can hear her ''all created langage'' she created it when she want to express some feeling and didn't find the right word. How genius is that? Great reaction again, it was fun to see you smile dicovering that ''weirdo'' woman, and by the way, forget about those who complain about your ''pausing'', we want to see and hear what you're feeling when you're feeling it, so you do you and they can go watch the original :-) have a good day.

Another great, erudite reaction. Here is another gem for you from the amazing mind of Aurora - in an interview she said that she always likes to wear some form of trousers under her dresses because she wants to be prepared to do a cartwheel whenever the need arises (there is also a brief clip where she provides instructions, in her own inimitable manner, on how to do a cartwheel). PS Later in this short concert Aurora takes her shoes off.

This version of this song is the best:). I cut part of this performance as my phone ring. And your smile is very ok as this song has dark lyric but wrapped with not sad music. And about jacket and shoes she removed them later during mini concert: "Life is better without shoes" :).

And as I said before: I dont mind your pausing. Especially as I watch reaction to see your reaction and thoughts + great music. I can always just play the song without reaction (what I also do :) ). And your observations are interesting. BTW: I would love to see reaction for less reacted song which is great for me: Soulless Creatures (live from Bergen 2020). I also love official version of a song but live is live + there are no official video only lyric with sound.

kudos to you--HONESTY ABOVE ALL even if your viewers dont like it, Next-- Anjelina J is a huge talent but no comparing to Aurora who was sent to us from somewhere we know not-- and is a fabulous writer, composer, arranger and a choreographer. Watch Aurora version of Warrior from Pigalle in Paris-- bets versin with modern dancers. Dimash is amazing and suggest you watch Benjamin Clementine sing "Adios"-- a genius and super rare talent. Keep going as you are. By the way, singing barefoot gives singers greater feel as they perform.

Most reactors start with Dimash from here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iWZt3KeuirnHqNY.html (SOS d'un terrien en detresse, a beautiful French song with gripping lyrics that he covered). Others start from one of his most recent performances, "Stranger", an original song written by famous composer Igor Krutoy, who got out of retirement after listening live to Dimash, and by Dimash himself, who added a "folk/central Asian" wibe to it with his melismas and a traditional instrument played by a good friend of his. It's up to you which one to choose.

In England "Church Yard" implies a grave yard in the hallowed grounds of a church/chapel. "Grave Yard" is the common use for this. Cemetery is used for a burial place separate from a church, often run by a local authority. Church yard, per se, is not often used.

In Norway the we mostly use "Kirkegård" and that is the direct translation of "Church Yard". "Gravlund" is the Norwegian version of "Grave Yard", but that mostly used when the "Yard" is connected to chapel in stead of a church.

Another good reaction! I think some of the difficulty you are experiencing is that Aurora's music is very intentionally a chronological process. Her first album was basically her living in the moment;. The second is more like a reflection on the bad times and healing yourself to get you to a better place. The third is taking that new out look (the infection of a different kind) and using it to heal the world. To become a different kind of human. Those of us who have been around since the beginning have been forced to take that trip in the order it was intended so a triumphant uplifting song about bad things makes perfect sense. Anyway, don't feel bad about dancing, either literally or emotionally to her work. She would approve. As for other artists I would highly recommend Bat For Lashes. Natasha is one of the very few artists I would put up there with Aurora. This one is called Siren Song and it is the inner monologue of a person who is scared their anxiety and depression will ruin their relationship. It is beautiful and powerful, and Natasha doesn't get enough love from the reactor community. You won't regret taking this trip. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aJp82cZslaSuqtY.html

Hey bud, yea, that makes total sense. If only I had the foresight of that approach. This whole reaction thing was really not meant to be anything other that post a few reviews to have my friends watch based on their recommendation and then... bang... I hit a nerve. Never expected it. Each individual song is a Picasso in it's own way. What I would love to have the honor of doing would be to interview her. That would be amazing, right?

@@larryshair I would love the chance for sure. I would say that we have the enourmous advantage with Aurora that she is very communicative with her fans through interviews and live streams so I think we all kinda feel like we know her to some extent. Reacting to some of her interviews might be a great way to go, and the 'Nothing is Eternal' mini documentary she made is a great place to start that.

Yeah I wouldn't pay much attention to people being mad about pausing. If they want to experience it they can go watch it themselves. This is about your experience and the fact you actually want to take in the artists to that degree is amazing. There will always be those who don't get that. I think it comes from them watching people who pause for the wrong reasons. Just because they have to for copyright and they just don't have anything to say or look into more. That's not the case here at all.
