Yes, this song is about bullying. But more importantly, someone in power to not only bully you, but use their influence to get others to bully you as well. At least that's how i see it. But then the positivity in the song is you can always come back from it!

She said when she first started preforming live she didn’t know how to release her emotions so she looks more spastic in the beginning years, now she has learned to express her feelings through her movements and dance… love her live!!!

Love her so much. Nice to see Aurora again on your channel. And yes, Silja Sol is her backup singer. And Magnus is her drummer. She works with these people all the time. I love Silja and Aurora when they harmonize. "It happened quiet" live at the Current really displays that harmonizing.

Really enjoyed your reaction! I strongly recommend "All is Soft Inside" from the same high-energy 2018 performance at KEXP! Every one of her live performances is unique. The Nidarosdomen Christmas Concert she performed in a cathedral is entirely different from the one at KEXP. Both are incredibel! Recommended songs from Nidaros include "Lucky," "Little Boy in the Grass," "Through the Eyes of a Child," "It Happened Quiet," and "Life on Mars." Frankly, the full concert taken as a whole is a work of art. Then there is the HAIK Concert she performed in a forest -- yet another amazing and unique experience! Her versions there of "Infections of a Different Kind," "The Seed" and "Daydreamer" are quite something! Most recently, her performance with the Bergen Philharmonic -- "Soulless Creatures!"

This is Auroras "band" - and the female back up singer is Silja Sol - its her real name and it means "silver sun" -and I feel it kind of describes her voice. She is making music of hr own, when she is not working with Aurora. A kind of pop-punk with close to absurd philosophocal lyrics in Norwegian. Beautiful stuff, but not very commercial.

Cool reaction as usual :). All soft inside from the same concert is also great:). Also i like many songs from Cathedral Nidarosdomen (like Lucky, Little Boy in the Grass, Winter Bird). Too be honest she has many more great songs to check:). She also make some great covers like Teardrop (Like a Version), God is a Woman (P3 cover made in 1h), Believer (also in the same program to make cover in 1h). There are other covers like Wrecking Ball or Live in Mars. Of course it is the question of taste but she change original songs and make them very different and in my opinion better then originals:).

When I first saw her perform I thought perhaps she might be so far out on another plane of existence that she would have difficulties communicating with others. Then I watched an interview and saw someone intelligent, present, connected. That's when it got really impressive.

Her songs tell our stories, our struggles, name the depths of our despair and dance us out into our light. Yes, magical! All the recommendations already made in the comments are also fantastic. I would like to add one of my favorites - Black Water Lilies. She said it was a dream she had of an underwater world...with music. When she woke from the dream, she went straight to her studio to get it down. It's a lovely dream song, and my favorite performance of it was as an opening number during this live performance: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oaiGraZ9l9jcqco.html

Such a unique, lovely, honest singer and person. Aurora likes the small stage. She is less fond of big festivals. She wants to be among her fans. She loves to dance, so she doesn't like to sing songs on small stages as she has no place to dance. She prefers to do without these songs. It has often been said that she hates her song "Conqueror". That's not true. She was once urged to perform it on a small stage where she had no place to dance. She hated that and there was a huge argument with her manager about it. Then she said something like >> what is the point of performing if I am not allowed to be who I am. I won't let you do that to me. And that's how it happened. The original Conqueror is for the big stage where she can dance and she has created an acoustic version for the small stage.

Regarding "Conqueror": I am sorry to say that I do not agree with you this time Coyote. I accept fully that you have a different opinion. This is my opinion, and the background for it: In december 2018 to her lokal newspaper "Bergens Tidende" she clearly say that she dislikes the song, and that she has stopped playing it at concerts, and she explain why: "In the film it is clear that she has a strained relationship with one of her most famous songs, "Conqueror", which has also been a live favorite. Now she has completely stopped playing it at concerts. - I've somehow got rid of the song. It feels good right now. - Why do you dislike "Conqueror"? - There are small details that maybe only I see, sounds I don't like and a text that has a message that I'm not so attached to anymore. It just doesn't feel relevant now." In the documentary "En gang Aurora": Magnus: She did not like to travel and promote "Conqueror". That song became "the name" of everything she did not like with the music industry" Aurora: it was the music, that is why it was so painful. If i have to give out music I am not happy with again, I will quit". The discussion you are talking about I think is from the release concert of step 1 in september 2018. Geir wants to involve the "vip" music guy, and tells Aurora: "Regarding Conqueror..." and Aurora cut's him off and says "I do not want to play it, do we have to?". Geir tells her that the "vip" want them to. So Aurora include the "vip" in the discussions regarding what songs to include. In the end of the discussion "vip" suggest Conqueror, and Geir say no and suggest something else. The "vip" will not give it up and tells Aurora that Conqueror is a winner live, and that he wants her to finish with it. Than Aurora say "I don't want to play Conqueror. Not on that stage" and say "it's not enough room to dance anyway". It is very clear for me that the dance parts is an excuse... I have never seen her explain her dislike regarding Conqueror with the stage size before or after this. She has played at a lot of big stages after this..... I don't know how this has been shown in the english version. But I have watched this documentary several times (5-6), and the "interviews" with the creators of the documentary 2 times. A documentary is cut.. A LOT.... there is several hundred hours put into 1 hour finished product, and they tells us how they had to focus on some key points or else it would be confusing. It is very normal for an artist to bring the most popular tracks from old albums to concerts with new music. Despite Conqueror was the "headline song" for the first tour, I have not found one single performance of it after the conclusion of the AMDGAAF tour.... I can't say it does not exist anything, but I can't find it. Furthermore: I know I have seen her talking about Conqueror in Norwegian interviews , that she tell that she don't want to do the song any more, but I can't find it and "prove it" right now... I hope she gets over the "hate" of the song. I hope she sees that it is a fun song, than brings dance and joy to the crowd, and starts playing it again. I am sorry to disagree with you this time Coyote.

@@RunarNyrud I have chosen my words carefully here. That's why I didn't say she loved the song. I said she doesn't hate it like it's always said from other people. I only know the reason with the danceability and that the song is not one of her favorite songs. After this report in the newspaper, she also at least denied that the events in the article in this newspaper took place in this way. In this respect, based on this information, I take it that way. But I haven't seen the documentation (can't be found on youtube). So I don't have the information that you obviously have and that I think is well founded. So far be it from me to contradict you. I'll give you this and have no problem with it at all. I also like to learn something about it. 😉

@@RunarNyrud As I said, I have no problem if someone disagrees with me or has different information than me, as long as the other information seems well founded. That's the case with you, so thank you for that. I cannot know everything completely either. 😉 But there are also other comrades, whom you will also know, whose contradictions consist of the fact that I supposedly tell shit and that's it. It is difficult to discuss and it is relatively difficult to learn anything from those statements. 😁 So from my side, your information is enough for me to stop disseminating the information I had. Overall, it's nothing earth-shattering now, and it was a long time ago. 😁

fwiw - she doesn't strike me as putting on a character. She does seem to me someone who might be considered neurodivergent. Many of her mannerisms and interactions with interviewers and fans (and her stimming while singing) all seem very familiar to my own experiences.
