@@Mr_Tigerees probably because it's an unsubstantiated claim or can't be proven. But I agree that mythology doesn't seem like the best term to use, seems like calling it a local folklore or even legend would be more accurate terms.

I like how the darkness could not touch her all they could do was try to intimidate her but she was focused on her goal. The bride of Christ.

Exactly what a spiritual journey is like. I Love how she stayed straight on the path ,eyes focused on God despite the darkness trying to get her.. and her faith grew stronger represented by the huge fire at the end. I guess what it is saying is, your faith will grow stronger by facing adversity if you stay the course.

Well said Donna. I would also add that at the end she " let go" sometimes we hold on to something that we should share because want to "own it" or we want our name on it. But when we let go and bring together our fire we have a bonfire not a single flame . A bonfire will reach out to much more people than a single flame.

Psalms 119:115 The single candle= the word of God and Jesus is the word John 1:1 A single candle is representation God is present. The white dress= your made white as snow Psalms 51:7 The torch= the Holy Spirit who lights our path and carries us through our trials. The sand represents the dirt, evil, and oposition the world bombards you with yet her dress remained pure white. It was not tarnished. The black caped people= the lust of the flesh (temptation) did not affect her and at no point did they touch her. The lust of the flesh lust of the eyes and the pride of life which are of the world. The bonfire= her death. Victory is won. The blaze is her going to heaven in a blaze of glory . She no longer needs to carry the torch because God is in heaven where she's going. She walks away from the bonfire on our way to heaven.

My favourite hymn.

The video made me think of life's journey for the bride in white, as she journeys she is stained with the various sins and trials of life, attacked by the enemy who wants her and to steal her light...she continues her walk until the very end and lights the funeral pyre herself...very moving.

Amen, no other book has God given us but the true Word! Though some has been hidden or not quite translated as accurately as possible, we have the Spirit to help us.
