    Neil Licciardi I have my M10 paired with Harbeth P3esr. I only only have space for smaller speakers. I have also used Wharfedale’s Denton 80th anniversary. The Harbeth’s are very low sensitivity at 83db so I use a lot of the volume scale available. So if you need to go loud I’d recommend more sensitive pair of speakers. The M10 is easy to live with one set up. It’s the best sounding hifi component I’ve owned and most expensive 😋.

    The M10 is an excellent packaging exercise delivering a capable full featured entertainment device in a compact form factor. It's perfect for small spaces and it sounds great. While the screen is touted as a significant feature, mine is turned off because the device lives in a cabinet behind closed doors. There's no need to look at it at all since all the action happens on a handheld device. Did I mention it sounds great? Its the way of the future I tells you.

    Excellent review. When I first started my 2 channel audio system search I thought I wanted all separates. Then after realizing I primarily go to listen to Tidel HD and MQA the NAD M10 got my attention. This is for my living room for multiple listening purposes. Haven't made my mind up on speakers just yet but it probably between Dynaudio Evoke 10s, 20s or Buchardt S400s. Was thing of getting Buchardt A500 power speaker and streamer but don't feel confident with all that electronics stuffed into each speaker. It's only been out for a few weeks not reliability track record yet. TY AG, Ed

Like the idea of all digital up untill the d to a converter to each driver. However that's a lot of tech and 3 150 watt amp circuits per speaker one for each driver. Even with class d amps that got to generate a lot of heat in each speaker. TY

    Great review, Thank you! I see the NAD M10 as an interesting all-in-one solution, or use the pre-amp outputs for connecting it to another gear (if someone has a very high level system) In different reviews all of you talk about Dirac and I am wondering if the results would be similar than the YPAO system that I have in my Yamaha AV Receiver. I ThinkPad, one of the serious advantage is the fact to have everything in a small device. It's a pity it hasn't a USB input for connecting PC's, smartphone or other devices and uses the internal DAC, but in that cases is possible to connect via WiFi One cool NAD M10 feature is the hability to show different information in the screen like the Vumeters, I would have liked to see these possibilities in the review :-(

    Thanks for the great review! In the end, it seems you were pretty happy with the M10 driving the ESL-X... Would you recommend that setup, or rather think that it is just a compromise that works with very good results but falls too short of being ideal? I'm looking into the same combo, but concerned it might not make the most out of those speakers... I have this curse of having (I think) a somewhat audiophile-pampered ear - developed during my childhood years spent listening to my father's audiophile-grade system with Audio Static ES-300-RS speakers, hence the ESL-X - yet neither the patience, expertise, preconceived notions nor budget of an actual hardcore audiophile. Sounds like this pairing could do it for me (albeit at a not very cheap price...)!

    Nice review of the M10 - curious why you use subwoofers when the Martin Logans have powered bass enclosures? I have a similar (older) ML electrostats that I love, and I would guess that the M10's 100 watts is more than enough to drive the stats, given that the bass on ML towers is powered so does not need any of the NAD's amp power.

    Hi, I am a user interested in m10. I think I'm using m10 for streaming, can I use it directly with my PC via optical connection? There is no USB input, but I wonder if I can adjust the volume by connecting to the PC through an optical connection. And I have two subwoofer, and is there an advantage for multi-subwoofer management through Diraclive?

  • @WhatEver-dx3eu

    @WhatEver-dx3eu

    4 жыл бұрын

    If the PC outputs straightforward PCM digital audio (and assuming it's SPDIF, as just about all optical in/outputs are) then no problem. DSD, or DSD over PCM (DOP); DTS, Dolby Digital, etc. are no-go's. Don't know what you mean with adjusting volume, but if you want to change volume on the PC through the optical out realise that you will be losing resolution the more you take volume down. Best to have volume from the PC at absolute full whack and do all the volume controlling through the M10. If controlling volume from the PC is important, get the BluOS desktop app for Win or Mac which operates in a similar way to the iOS and Android apps. With clever placement of two subwoofers, it's possible to lessen the effect of standing waves. NAD has mentioned that the M10 Dirac will support the upcoming Bass Control for single and multiple subwoofers in the future

    Almost a great review. A little time spent on how well, or not, the Bluos function works would have been helpful.

    BluOS is better than many but obviously is not Roon. It's integrated with just about any streaming source you can imagine. It's easy enough to use but works better on a tablet than a phone in my view, although a phone is what I normally use to drive it. It's a way better experience than Yamaha's MusicCast controller for example. In any case you have easy access to just about any tune you can imagine at your fingertips. The only thing that is a head scratcher is volume control. I can't do that with the phone buttons which would be nice, but its easily done from within the BluOS app anyway. It's not a big deal. That's all anyone really needs to know. ;)

    How about you go out in the world, educate yourself beyond the gear and listen to some real life live concerts. It's your choice if you want to spend thousands of dollars for some piece of hardware that most likely will become outdated sooner than later, instead of actually going and experience live musicians. You know, in the concert hall the real magic happens. There are real humans dealing with emotions, with expectations, with involvement, with passion...what else? Or I guess all of this becomes obsolete if your taste in music resume to skrillex. Sorry, I am pissed. I am pissed that the entire media consumption these days resume to the idea of isolating us... Making us more disconnected than ever.

    Wtf you doing watching equipment reviews??? What a stupid comment. Maybe try a non tech channel to voice these concerns. Give me a break. Oh... THANKS FOR WATCHING! 😁

    @@therealshanelee actually I was not criticizing you because you promote the gear. My comment was meant for the others that bother with all this nonsense “oh can you compare that with this pls pls pls pls pls”. But I guess you can turn prehistoric and behave like that. The only reason I watched this video is because some idiotic acquaintances asked me what I believe about him investing 10000$ on some sound equipment while he barely got inside a concert hall (regardless of the genre). Good look growing an audience. It seems you have the skill.
