Audioholics New Theater Room with Massive RBH Sound Speaker System

Ғылым және технология

The Audioholics Smarthome is becoming a reality. We spent a week with our friends at RBH Sound setting up and tuning the theater room. Our reference speakers are the RBH Sound SVTRS Active speaker system and matching center, sides and back channels and six height channels and an additional SV-1212P subwoofer. The processing is Storm Audio's new ISP MK2 24CH Atmos/DTS:X/Auro 3D processor and 16CH Storm Audio amplifier to power the rest of the channels. We are using a Screen Innovations 150" Acoustically Transparent Screen with the Epson 6050UB projector and streaming from AppleTV, RokuHD and an OPPO BDP-205. The room is acoustically treated with Sonitus treatments courtesy of Anthony Grimani. The seating is Valencia Tuscany custom color to match the colors of our room. The cabling is all Blue Jeans Cable including 1313A 10AWG speaker cable, 1694 COAX and their best HDMI cables. No snake oil.
The sound is simply indescribably fantastic. This is just a teaser video with much more to come.
*** Apologies for the poor sound in this video. Our Mic level wasn't set properly and we couldn't re-shoot this video due to time constraints with our friends at RBH Sound. *********************

As a proud owner of RBH SV-831R's 3 of them 4 SV-661W surrounds and 1 SV 1212PR and 1 SV1212NR I can tell you I've never heard anything like what RBH can do not at there price point. Never been happier and I'm so happy for you. I can't imagine what that system can do! I want to also give a BIG shout out to Shane and Scott. You guys at RBH are the best. I would love to know more how the whole thing is tied in, including the role of the Marani. Mind you, hardware DSP doesn't have the same amount of taps as software DSP so wouldn't a system of this calibre be better off with software DSP for time alignment(also more advanced on computer controlled sotware DSP) and general correction? Might be an idea for a new video.

If you need explained to you that an Epson 6050 - as nice of a mid level consumer grade projector as it is - isn't state of the art, then explaining all the various reasons this isn't at all state of the art would be a waste of time. While the RBH speakers are certainly nice, they aren't anywhere near something like Alcons,Steinway, or JBL M2 for instance. Basically the only things that approach state of the art here are the obvious quality effort in building it, Grimani's contributions which are always state of the art, and that Storm Audio processor. @@Audioholics don't get me wrong it's a great build and I'm sure it sounds awesome but when claiming state of the art that requires being bulletproof at every level.
