ГМ-70 крутая лампа, не каждый её осилит, про ГМ-100 вообще молчу. панельки мне больше нравятся чем байонетные. 1:49 рядом с 6Н3П лежит китайчонок 845В

Been wondering why no one is designing SET amps using the easily-available Russian output tubes, including the GM70, NOS 845s are $1000 each, new Chinese 845B are around $150 each... and good Russian drivers are available that are similar to 6SN7, 6SL7, etc and are still available in huge quantities...or even a single ended amps using Russian GU triodes and pentodes...

hi, thanks for your comment on my video . I have tried to build SE and PP amplifier using GM-70 long time ago, I'd like to explain why ; my personal opinon. 1 power consumption by heater is too high. 2. needs more HV(+1KV, Very dangerous). 3. Bulb temperature is too hot. 4. inconvenient and unreliable tube socket(845 is bayonet type). tube diameter is too large, needs more space. ~~. Is my answer helpful? thanks. Young

@@YoungAhn well I know the 845 run pretty hot too... I think all of the big triode tubes run high voltage... And they glow pretty bright. It would be nice to find a good Russian triode because of their availability. Thanks for responding to me! Do you have a website that details some of your work?

Yes it is. I don't have any available website now but in near future. I don't release my important experimental data to public, You can see most of my works on my channel please watch my videos one by one.And I am going to release low wattage(10~12 watts / ch) 845 and GN70 SE amps with authentic power supply circuit design in late autumn..
