In part 3, we discuss some ideas on building a power supply that can deliver both the required full B+ output voltage and a simultaneous half output voltage with a single rectifier and filter network. The full voltage rail would be used for the output stage with our 845 triodes and the halve voltage rail for our tube preamp stages. www.bandwidthaudio.com

Did you ever consider two isolated 500 volt supplies stacking them after the first stage filter. Using two solid state rectifiers. You will not need as much filter for the final because the current difference between the lower supply and upper one?
