this is NOT an easy job. I changed the timing belt kit + tensioners on my C5 2.8L (the same process) & let me tell you, my neighbors heard me cuss the heavens from my garage, on several occasions. LOL!! Granted I'm not mechanic and I learned how to do this entire process from another KZread video. Kudos to you gents! Great video and commentary.

I was wondering if you could fit an RS6 engine in to a Audi SQ5 8r? I have saved up quite a bit of money for this idea but up until now, no one was able to tell me if that engine swap is possible or not. I would be very happy for your honest opinion. All the best

@@VAGTechnic Proberly resold next month as "fully inspected" etc. That gearbox obviously needs work. They snap at approx 80k of miles with that engine. Simply because they cant stand the TQ those engines produce. Launching is very bad for the AT. As for the RS4 B5 - i owned it 3 years. Spend over 30k of mods, upgrades and what more. It has seen the ring 3 times; and it's HP was around 500 with 600nm of TQ. Beast of a station. However MOT failed; exhaust gasses where not in check. We saw small cracks appearing in the heads, the paint started to fade and some more issues. It was cheaper to simply part the car, and sold all the "RS4 B5" exclusive parts to various people all over the globe. I got more for the car in parts then selling it as one unit. Eventually the chassis went on paper to swiss, to someone who wanted to convert his S4 B5 into a RS4 B5 (on paper). All the RS exclusive part where pretty much sold in less then 2 weeks. Got a good 19k out of it; mechanic costed me 2k and i was happy.
