Gentlemen you are like surgeons, everything laid out in order of use and assembly,first class work you are a credit to your trade. Please keep the videos coming and stay safe.
Nice work on that complicated engine. There's a lot of things that can go wrong but you know your stuff. I bet first startup is exciting.
nice job! rs4 owner myself.
I'm impressed every time I see someone take apart an engine. And can get it all together again. Really nice work without any compromises👍
Your skill level impresses me every video, such complex engines that aren't hurried back together you manage to get the customers to allow you to fix it properly. Sometimes expensive repairs done right, are the cheapest repairs you ever have done.
Brilliant skill, knowledge and drive to undertake these huge jobs. Great content.👍
Amazing work, and great video! The B7 will always be a special car.
Fantastic Job and no short cuts, well done you do a proper job top marks 😀
Excellent video! Loved the close-up camera work! A lot of work for this car indeed. Can't wait to see the test drive and the final bill. oof...😩
Kudos to the owner for getting it done right ✅️
You guys are magicians. Great work!
Brilliant work! Also, nice camera and editing work. Really enjoying your videos, good to have you back. Keep it up!!
My neighbour had a B7 RS4 and is sounded godly when it started. I'd love to have one just for that sound alone!
Engine sound when started - Im in love. :))
Thank you, love this deep level of speannering / engineering :)
Great to have your videos back! Love your content.
Thank you it is fascinating watching you work and entertaining at the same time cheers
Brilliant content. Love watching the videos. Awesome music! Keep it up. Thank you for saving this beautiful car. Great work. Done right!!
Wow....he really loves that car. That's huge cash!
Awesome video, love watching people work on the b7 rs4 they are my dream car, a super sleeper saloon. so glad I got one back in 2016 with 91k miles for $26k, best deal I ever got on a vehicle. Now I'm just working on retrofitting a DL-501 dsg transmission I have into it. One day I'll have the only dual clutch b7rs4. Then it's time for the fun stuff like quad turbos and water/meth injection.
Love your videos, glad you are back with us. You obviously need deep pockets to run these Audi's.

Wow. That timing chain setup looks wild.
that was a first class video , and a first class job , clean and methodical , no short cuts and no that will do , but boys the costs must add up at an alarming rate.
Great one! You guys have done a good job. Also nice to hear you don't trust it the first 100 miles, have the same thing after a big repair, it have to build some trust.

Always impressed by your work, but I shudder to think about what this would cost.
Great workmanship. New to the channel and enjoying the content. Im an auto electrician by trade and i oray that i never have to remove a starter on one of these. Sits in a bad place hahaha
Expensive engines, I rebuild/upgrade these bns engines, nice work👍
Great video!
Must admit, lots of people bag the BMW's because of the amount of work to fix oil leaks. They really need to see this video and the labour it takes on the Audi. Makes my Beemer seem pretty easy by comparison.

lovely job man! it would be nice just be go around the block and include it in the video.
Aquasource, FD & Orchard Fisheries would be good to see in the mix with the Saki 👌 Keep up the good work
I was looking at those nice painted walls, thinking it must be recently done as there where no oil stains or anything on them.. That didnt last long 🤣
Ouch!! He must love the car😉
Great videos👍🏼🔥
Very professional and expertise level💯 poor owner is like a punching bag keep hitting him 😹
beautiful work i love watching your show
Good video. Thanks
Top stuff 👍👍
B7 RS4 is my favourite bt you do highlight just how much income you need to keep one of these beasts on the road. A lot.
good work 👏
Great video. For the amount the owner was spending, he really should have chose to fit sport cat or even catless downpipes. The OE ones are SO restrictive on the B7. Mine mad 390ps with OE ones and no carbon clean and now makes 450PS with catless DP’s, carbon clean and map.
Bruh,the noise of that V8. Not a AMG but still,music for the ears 🤙🤙🤙
Been looking at these with a budget up to 18k but these videos scare me with most repairs needing the engine to be taken out 😢 Great videos nonetheless

@@jibmaster it is interesting how the u.s seems to miss out on a lot of " wagons " / estates as America usually has everything , I guess demand wasn't there I suppose, the RS6 clone sounds good and can't beat a manual I hate the way 90 percent of performance cars don't have full manuals these days guess I'm getting old lol , take care bro
It's amazing to compare a small-block Chevrolet V8 from mid 1960s to this engine and marvel at the simplicity of the Chevy. I mean, I know the Audi's specific output is miles better, it's more efficient and infinitely cleaner but the engineering and maintenance cost to get there is incredible.
The timing chain setup is exactly like the 3.0T in my B8 S4.
well done
If I got a phone call from the mechanic, after all that incredible technical work, to tell me a coil spring is broken I would be high fiving my buddies.
I used to like German car engineering. After loads of quality problems in recent years, I've walked away from them. I get that many love the excitement and fun of these performance cars and aren't too bothered about reliability. Looking at this timing chain arrangement makes me think the German designers have lost their way over the years and created really messy engines. This lot could be redesigned in much simpler form. I guess this would miss the whole point of lovely complexity. Good video, thank you

that complication makes a very smooth engine in this case.... very smooth, powerful, smooth revs
Awesome 🎉
Ahhhh! At last, a B7 RS4 in your channel. Got a good chance to see your best work. Hats off!. I have a question about B9 RS4/ B9 RS5 engine, is it possible to clean intake valves using walnut blaster without lowering the engine down? Look forward to hear from you?

No chance , Can use BG Machine
The sad thing about these cars is that they are becoming more affordable to buy but not affordable to maintain.99% of local workshop will never do timing chains on these.thats the main reason ive not bought one.there A few mint one popped up local for sale for around £25 k with not bad mileage but theres just no one where I live that will work on them.them shipping it away for work is where the money comes in.
Great work as usual.👍 Correct me if I’m wrong, all this work because one broken little plastic slider under the cam chain?
This is the reason I've never bought one of these. It was a dream car in my 20's though.
Why did it bent the valves? Timing chain guide (plastic) broke? Also why aren't the pistons replaced/inspected? This was significant contact maybe the piston's integrity or its gudgeon pin is affected.
One word 'SWEET'
Title needs amending guys, "Costumer" :p, quality video again nevertheless
I thought this channel is from sweden 😂😂, your speking style sound so swedish 👍
Impressive
Hey! Great channel, wonder why you don’t have many more subscribers. Q: I have a Passat b6 and the tool I got for timing didn’t really fit. Is a 2.0 tdi bkp. I got it correct but the tool for the crankshaft was only in half way. Enigine sounds great after timing, I just would like to know what tools to get? Thanks.
I bet you could build a rocket engine too!
This is one incredible rebuild. How much did this all cost for the customer but also your time!?
Are you guys seeing a lot of timing chain tensioner issues? In Australia I haven’t heard of many at all failing.
Hey since you guys are the Audi Gods.. How reliable is the 4.0T powerplant in the C7/C7.5?? Engine wise does it also suffer timing change issues and failed rocker arm?? What's the first to go??
Just spent 2k on b7 diesel Quattro, major service, list of parts also had uprated balance shaft on. Prevention.
In 4.0 TFSI turbos must by cooled down after every run. Otherwise they will be destroyed very fast.
Sounds better than a Rolls-Royce 😊
You should really only prime those engines for oil with the spark plugs out, the engine will spin faster AND you dont run the risk of killing the 40 hour starter on that thing, other than that great work you guys are impeccable
@Dmxravin
Жыл бұрын
Really? So when the engine is fully put together and every morning it starts you risk a failing starter because the sparks are in since they’re required for normal operation?
@simonc4810
Жыл бұрын
@@Dmxraviner, yes. That’s what wear & tear is! As with all wear & tear items (clutch, brakes, etc), the less you use them - and the less you stress them, the longer they last. The starter normally spins for around 1 second before the engine fires. It’s unlikely that the design brief allowed for long-duration cranking.
@Dmxravin
Жыл бұрын
@@simonc4810 yeah I guess the motor brushes, bearings and solenoid wear out
@simonc4810
Жыл бұрын
@@Dmxravin that is very true, however it’s reasonable to expect a starter motor to last at least as long as the engine. The bigger question is what happens to it when it cranks for 40x what the designer envisaged. You can burn out a clutch in 200000 miles or 20 seconds. The evidence on what a starter motor can tolerate is less obvious, but these guys seem about as conscientiousness as they come so is it fair to say there’s no problem?
@jetonbalidemaj

@@Dmxravin im solely talking about priming the engine for oil after a big job where everything is dry
I regret not getting my RS4 B7 fixed and buying the new v6 RS4. A v8 is a v8 and not replaceable by the best v6.
The chain guides are still made of plastic on the updated versions? 11:06
Where did the small brown plastic bits come from?
I think it is worth the cost.
Dobrze Great video , but my eyes started hurting watching the minimal to zero lubrication on the timing chain and tensioners and cams etc, as you no doubt know turning over a rebuilt engine for just 5 seconds can do 5yrs of wear damage if not correctly lubricated, do you think you primed all your essential contact surfaces enough?
Really great car, I would love one, but surly the limiting factor is a v8 engine in front of the front axle when would be better if it was behind the front axle?
@TassieLorenzo
7 ай бұрын
Well, sure, but that's where the engine goes in all Audis (apart from the R8)? 🙂 At this point it's tradition I guess and they don't want to redesign it to an XDrive-style all wheel drive system where the driveshafts go through the engine sump.
I think, you are most exciting to build engine, inst? 😀
So where do you just buy a re-manuf. 4.2?
Nice job mate. Estimation of total cost? I have also a rs4 2007
