Top job matey I remember replacing one on a 1984 Fiat Uno 35 years ago, that seemed a lot easier than this did, but there again I was a lot younger.

Thanks Jinxed, I may have replaced one on a Fiat Punto in the very distance past, I can’t remember as it would be one of many. But I’m certain they are far easier than this one. 😁 Thanks for watching. 🙂👍

The proper tools to remove the cv joint are not expensive and it turns into a very easy job. Had the same problem removing the CV and bought the tools

Funny you should mention that, I actually have a puller/press tool that bolts on the hub, which would have probably easily pressed out the CV from the hub. Just that some fool parked the car in front of the cupboard it lives in. “I’ve had a word 😉😁.” Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed it. 🙂👍

Hi Glenn, thanks for comment and I agree it would be a good idea. I have just replied to another viewer recently with my reasonings, see below. “ I agree it would make some sense, but I would prefer to replace both shocks at the same time, which would mean a fair bit more work and cost. There wasn’t any obvious issue with this one so I’m happy. I liberally coated everything with Copperslip so it will hopefully come apart more easily, if! I have to do the job again 😁.” Saved me typing a long reply. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed it. 👍🙂

Why you didn't replace the shock? not that expensive, the labour is the expensive part in this job
