Great video mate. Have done this yesterday myself. Quick note for anyone who would consider doing this. You don’t need to disassemble whole thing top cover is clipped in once removed you will have full access to ribbon cable. To clean the ribbon cable i have used soldering iron, do not use direct fire as ribbon cable will shrink. Before soldering pierce 3 holes through plastic part and reinstall small white plastic for one this will hold ribbon cable in place for soldering second it removes tension from soldered areas when reinstalled.

Great video, thanks for uploading, a common issue it seems. Hopefully once repaired it won’t happen again!

Hey mate, so when soldering the ribbon cable, do you get the tiny wires out of the ribbon and solder it together or you just align it and solder on top. Cheers

I have a question once the clock spring is broken can you remove the steering wheel airbag clips then after disconnect the battery. Or the airbag might come on?

The sound your hearing is probably the ribbon broken only way to find out is follow my vid take things slow and take pictures of everything you do so if you get stuck with anything you can look back the retaining bolt on the steering wheel is a spline bolt I can't remember the size I for got to take note of that but like I say if you watch my vid you should be able to work it out hope this helps
