Audi Q3 (8U) disable auto mirror folding

How to disable #mirror folding feature in Audi Q3 (8U) if you for example want to protect the mirror mechanism in winter so it will not be damaged when electric motor wants to move the assembly while the mirror is covered with ice. If you have the comfort mirror #folding feature enabled, your mirrors would fold each time you look the car.
🛠 Turn the ignition on, the back off, open drivers door, and set the mirrors control knob to 6 o'clock position. From now on mirrors will not fold when locking the car.
ℹ️ Some software versions of RMC or MMI systems can have mirrors setting in central lock options. In this #AudiQ3 there was no option in the menu to control mirrors feature.

And how do I enable it if it's already disabled? (without obd device ?)

Our 2017 Tiguan works exactly the same. I have the option in the menus to turn folding off too but it's convenient to just turn the knob when I have towing mirrors on for example...

Pomocny jak zawsze, teraz wszyscy żyją okresem urlopowym i cieszą się latem ale zima przyjdzie i o lusterka trzeba dbac:) wWracając do tematu włączonej opcji gasnacego auta przy wysiadaniu z niego... - wskazane kodowanie pomogło i już nie gasnie;)
just bought a 2014 a6. two days later during snow storm, driver side mirror quit working. hopeully, when it warms up a little it goes back.

When I lock the car, only the driver's mirror is folding. Is there a problem with the other or is there an option to fold only one?

Możesz wytłumaczyć jak wyłączyć funkcję na zimę? Słuchałem filmiku kilka razy ale nie do końca rozumiem. Mam A6 c7, składane lusterka działa z panelu drzwi ale nie z kluczyka. Zakodowane moduły w drzwiach i moduł komfortu a lusterka sie nie składają. Auto kupiłem w listopadzie i być może poprzedni właściciel włączył funkcje nie składania lusterek na zimę. To jedyne co przychodzi mi do głowy, dlaczego lusterka się nie składają. Posiadam navi RMC więc zielone menu odpada, sytuacja dokładnie jak na Twoim filmie. Pozdrawiam

Mozna tez wysiasc z auta i zamknac normalnie kluczykiem, lusterka wtedy sie nie zloza.
I still don’t understand how to activate the folding option when locking the car. Can anyone help with some basic steps.
