Audi A3 8Y 2021 Steering wheel upgrade replacement or removal

Here is a quick video on how to replace or upgrade your steering wheel on Audi A3 8Y model and a few other recent models from 2013-2024.
Please be careful when removing the airbag as the battery needs to be disconnected.
This is a video on flat bottom steering wheel upgrade on the 2021 Audi a3, but it is the same on Audi a4, a5, q3, q5 and other models.
Torque setting is 50NM for the bolt and it is recommended to use either new bolt with fresh lock tie or a lock tie on the original bolt.

I want to mount some magnetic shift paddles to my RS3 8Y but I'm afraid of breaking something in the assembly. When you remove the battery do I get errors later? or only when removing the airbag? And could I change the cams without removing the airbag cable connector? At first it seems that you just have to take it out and remove the molding with the buttons, maybe leaving it hanging from the cable you can change them.
Did you have to reset any codes after connecting the battery again ?

I believe so, but I don't think you can have it with the round airbag.

OMG, a flat-bottomed wheel is a downgrade! I have on in my S3 and it sucks. You're turning the wheel and part of it is missing. Not good.
