Finally someone did a video of this. My a3 handles scratch my paintwork and wanted to fix it for ages. Need to try this soon.

Turns out, after the facelift the door handle design has changed slightly. Was still unable to successfully take the cover off. :'D

@@kilovwdude6457 unfortunately I didn't. I sort of gave up on it. I was planning to replace all door handles as rust was forming but I didn't do that either yet. 🤦‍♂️😔

There's a little plastic tab instead of the Metal slider in this video. Just behind the handle cover at end opposite lock. Pull handle up and you can see the tab. A Small flathead screwdriver can be used to gently move the tab so it disengages. Slide the handle cover off.

@@mikebleechmore7351 that would be amazing. I never bothered working on it after but I would love to know. I seen something but never had a chance to remove it recently
