    @989kriss The advantages of the lever-locker is that you can just quickly pull it in to engage it even on the fly and then just as quickly release if when not needed. Or give it just a momentary lock for climbing over or through the difficult spot. We've found that although we like to run in 4wd most of the time on the trails, we use the locker just in times of need. The BF locker is great for that.

    @989kriss Not only does the power steering work without notice, but with EPS the geometry is revised with more caster - something I like.

    if you want a brute for fast trail riding, get a 650 sra, no body roll and lower center of gravity. also quicker off the line than the 650i due to less drive shaft angles losing power and no rear squat.

    @989kriss Perhaps, but 'ultimate power' is not what we worry about so much once you get as much power as these things put out. Just about anything over 650cc is fast enough for us.

    I will never buy another machine other than a Kaw E. Brute force is the best, no doubt.

    Thanks Doug. How would you rate the KQ and BF in reliability and durability on the 1 to 10 scale, ten being the best? Also, how do you rate them on serviceability?

  • @ATVTVCOM

    It all depends on the condition - how it was cared for, and ridden....

    Hey Doug, I agree with you on the "tippy" feeling of the Brute. It can get kinda scary on the off-camber stuff. So I'm looking to switch to a Suzuki KQ 750. On a scale of 1 to 10 for tippy, how would you rate the KQ if the BF gets an 8 or 9? Thanks from a fellow UT resident.

    @jnstrcklnd Sorry, I meant pre-08s for the Brute Force....Which machine is cleaner. If you plan to change the tires on the BF to a good set of radials it would probably be the better choice for reliability. Which dealer is closest to you?

    @MegaGmodder While I'm sure it's possible, I'd say it would be less expensive to sell the ATV and get a 650i.

    If you like to ride fast, I would go with the prairie, just like the clip above says, the Brute feels like it gonna tip at high speeds. I've owned the brute 750, 650 and a prairie and I prefer the prairie - And it's the least expensive!

    We kept track of it at one time....but I can't seem to find the info. I do now it varies tremendously (and I man tremendously!) depending on your riding.... It seems like we got something like 12 to 14 riding harder and 18 to 22 riding easier but I don't remember for sure... Sorry ;-)

    Any simple ATV - foot-shift, swingaxle, air-cooled, like the Rancher, Foreman, Big Bear, and King Quad 400 will be great work ATVs. Just don't expect them to also be great trail machines. Doug

  • @yamran
    @yamran15 жыл бұрын

    Power steering is not important I am looking for reliability, power and fun to drive I like the sound of the brute force for sure! But no one has one around my area either (which is a good thing as I like to have something different) but I also dont get to see first hand how they perfrom. I hd a Kodiak 450 2003 since new and have not replaced a single thing on it and it has never let me down, but I was looking for a reliable change, and most seem to thing the Brute Force 750 is a good choice...

  • @ATVTVCOM
    @ATVTVCOM11 жыл бұрын

    I'd say a 6 or 7 or maybe a 7 or 8. Both are tremendously improved with radial tires, but even so, the KQ is the best, the Grizzly next, and the Brute Force, ahhhh last....

  • @ATVTVCOM
    @ATVTVCOM15 жыл бұрын

    Each have their strong points: Grizzly - power steering BF - engine sound Both - great drivetrain What's most important to you? You really can't go wrong with either the Brute Force 750, Grizzly 700, or the King Quad 750.

  • @ATVTVCOM

    I'd say that the KQ, BF, and Griz are all on about the same level, a 9. I say that as 'something' can always go wrong, but basically these machines just work! Servicability? They are all harder than they used to be thanks to all that plastic that covers the dipstick and filter(s).

    @989kriss Look, I don't want this to come across wrong, but YOU need to do some investigating on your own. First, look at all our reviews of the ATVs you are interested in. We have them all here on You Tube and on our website. Also you might look at what some of the magazine tests say. Make a list of what are the most important items you desire. Each ATV has strong points and weak points. Find which ATV fits YOUR needs best. The perfect ATV for me might not be the perfect ATV for you.

    @jnstrcklnd THat's a tough choice - you sure you don't want to keep looking? The pre-05 BFs are the worse of the Brute Force line and the AC650 is an alright ATV, kinda heavy, kinda tall and tippy. Not great but the better of these two

    They made big changes in '08. The Grizzly is a good all-around machine. The Brute Force has an incredible engine. Grizzly, Brute Force, or King Quad - buy the cleanest, lowest mileage you can find and you'll love it....
