You can CLEARLY see how uncomfortable Kevin is with this situation. He KNOWS what that foot swiping means, IM THE BOSS HERE BACK OFF, and he TRIED to tell him the lion was taking a swipe at his leg and he interrupts with “love tap?”, Kevin just laughs nervously, and he literally pushes the guy away and gets in between them at one point. I think he KNOWS if that lion attacks that man, he gets killed, and even though he KNOWS that his relationship with the lion from a cub doesn’t exclude him from harm, he would try to stop it anyway. I read a comment that he later writes about this incident in a book, saying he didn’t have a choice but to go in because the guy was going in regardless according to his boss in charge of the lion park. I watch Kevin’s videos now and he NEVER takes anyone in, he is so careful and I’ve seen him enough to know he was against that guy even being in there. The stick did scare the lions, but they could have attacked because they were scared, that’s exactly the trigger they need and even Kevin doesn’t stay around them now when that tail starts wagging like that, saying, BACK OFF. That could have been very bad in another 20 seconds. I think Kevin would agree that it was just a matter of time, a couple minutes at best, before that lion quit acting irritated and made his point, especially how rough he was patting him.

THIS is proper handling of lions. He was alert. Didn't mistreat them. Warned the other guy. And before anyone could get hurt, he got the guy out of there. So much respect. And the animals look absolutely healthy ♥️ if I ever work up the nerve to come face to face with a lion, I'd like to do it with this guy. They need to change the title though because nobody was attacked.

It is a sign of focus Or playfulness. But if the tail is rapidly doing this then it signals fear and aggression and it could mean for you to back off because the animal is unaware of your intentions and will attack if you don’t take heed to the warning signs)

This video is a lesson for all those who want to go close and take risk. Don't go close to lions just for fun. For going close you need all three things. 1. A genuine cause like Kevin has. 2. Years of experience that Kevin has. 3. A back up plan. We know even Kevin is at risk but at least he is doing it for a genuine cause. So his risk is a calculated risk and meant for a good cause.
