Atomic Skis 100 Comparison (Maverick, Backland, Bentchetler)

Skis are confusing. You might be asking are reading up on a few of the Atomic skis and see that they offer three completely different 100 mm waisted skis. What? Yes, three of the same waist width dimensions but different how? In this video we take a little dive into what separates them, and maybe this will clear up some of the haze.
Maverick 100Ti, this shredder has two sheets of metal and a poplar core. Great for someone who loves skiing fast, wants something to bust through crud and float decently well. Little stiffer tail than the others.

Backland 100, this ski is for all you uphill weirdos. SO LIGHT! Made with Karuba wood, this ski climbs incredibly well, has a sheet of metal in the mounting plate and also has carbon stringers, so still performs relatively well in-bounds. This ski is best suited for someone looking for a backcountry ski that isn't too wide and not very narrow. Great backcountry quiver ski for sure.

Bent Chetler 100, this is your free-ride animal. Poppy, playful, slashy, slarvey, all the ey's you can think of. More of a symmetric shape (twin tip), so can be skied backwards. You do have a limit on this ski. This is a wood core only, no other composites added to help diminish vibration at speed, so this ski is really built for playing and looking cool.
