I was married. I can imagine the 'royal eye roll' you received. As much as i would love this kind of thing, I spent way too much time in the city, and have become a little bitch about bugs. I hate earwigs the most.

Am glad that you've practically finished the other dugout you made and with this one (and others?) ... you've bugout camps for yourself or others who made need it now that there's war in Ukraine. Keep us posted if you can. ✊🏼🇺🇦

If you take a bike inner tube and place a bunch of logs in it and then split them you will not have to hold on to the logs. Just keep splitting away until you think all of the logs are small enough. you just need something solid to split on. You can do the same thing with a tire as well by setting the log in to the tire and then splitting from there.

I would want the shelter tall enough to stand upright. On the window make a frame to sit inside the large frame. Attach plastic to small frame and set into larger frame with small hinge so window can be opened for air flow..
