My son and I built one last summer. It’s around 10’ x 16’. It was a rough build in rocky soil with lots of clay. Your build is very similar to ours. We have watched so many videos and tried with different plans. In my profession I have a lot of materials that will find the dumpster. Most of these items ended up at the dug out. Great job with your build. It looks solid and warm.

Great job, I enjoyed the video. Here where I live you'd have to have the door opening inwards instead of the way yours opens outwards due to snow. You'd get snowed in and be unable to move the snow if you tried to open your door outwards. If your door opened in you can always open it, and shovel the into the shelter to allow you to exit after a heavy snow fall.

Поражает какая маленькая дверь. Все для энергоэффективности. Раньше в деревенских избах делали точно такие же маленькие двери. Это видно на старых,столетних домах! Отличная землянка! Успехов в развитии канала! Я тоже записал свое первое видео ))))

One of the things that impresses me is the skill, which you have, to make lumber with a chain saw, FREEHAND. Until I saw you and one other person do this, I had never even considered ever doing it Now what I have to do is save enough cash to buy a Stihl electric chain saw. They are almost noiseless, something very important, when doing what you are doing, to avoid detection by the curious and thieves. Great job so far, much improvement over the other shelter. ;-)

They make "chainsaw mills" which is basically a metal frame you attach the saw to and allows you to adjust the height to get perfectly straight thickness and width. The best part of these, freehand or with a mill, is you can do it right where the tree has fallen. No need to drag an entire tree to a mill, bring the mill to the tree!

may i offer a suggestion, 35 yrs experience in building homes. Increase the height of you chimney 2 feet, 1 section of pipe, If you ever had a back draft or draw issue, it because chimney too short

Aproveitando essas Pedras e outras que vc encontre por aí, se tiver uma Areia que pode molhar e fazer um Barro para servir de CIMENTO! Pode Construir um Fogão de Pedra com Chaminé de Pedra que vai ficando fina na medida que sobe para o Telhado até terminar em 3 Pedras pequenas que vc coloca uma pedra achatada e larga em cima para não entrar água da chuva!

If you have the chance to get any hot water tank blankets. Take them. You can cut them into strips and use them for chinking. Most plumbers throw the blankets away after installing a new hot water tank.

he doesn't really say anything important. 3.13 'everything is great, let's it burn. warmed up already. 4.45 'still a little long' and 'hopa!' It's just such a sound, roughly in the sense of 'I'll do it like this!' 6.55 'everyday life in the dugout' 8.05 'add raisins' 9.26 'almost done'. Here he cooked cheesecakes. These are cottage cheese pancakes. 10.50 'it's very similar to cappuccino'
