Welcome to the “Aged Out” side! It’s not too bad. We enjoy still being fans of it all.

I think someone already said it, but Redline didn't make Semis in 2016 but made finals in 2017. However, the biggest jump in a single year was Broken City (Orange County Independent in 2015). 2015, they were 16th, and then in 2016, they placed 3rd and haven't been out of the top 3 since.

Idk if I’d consider that an example of a group making a big jump, when they literally because a different/new ensemble between those two years. There might be a lot of overlap between oci and broken city, but they are two separate ensembles.

Y’all gotta check out United and Infinity this year. Infinity looks like they’re going to be incredibly strong again, but United is gonna be a pleasant surprise for a lot of folks. Very interesting book. United and AQ I think are the groups that are gonna surprise the most people in World, and I can see Infinity with the top dogs again.

Completely irrelevant, but I just wanted to add that in 2014 Palmetto Percussion didn’t make semis, but made finals in 2015.

Redline in 2016 didnt make semis and in 2017 we got 14th in finals!
