i liked the first song a lot better than the first. I don't know why Katie said it was a hard no at first. The girl has a jazz element in the first song. She could make a career out singing jazz instead of pop. Good job on the little sister's part for helping her big sister.

loved her tone, got that old jazz head voice. She took her time with the lyrics, did some nice chromatic work, and got emotional at the end. very pretty. They didn't need a 2nd song. She was solid from the beginning. - So You Wanna Be A Singer

I actually loved her on the first song than Never Enough. Athena's jazzy tone sounded amazing. Her little sister fighting for her though made all the difference and I hope she was appreciative of that.

I’m so happy she got a “Yes!” She needs more confidence, but her voice was jazzy, smokey and absolutely beautiful!

She is the sweetest little sister and biggest fan. She steered her big sister in the right direction for her audition and now she's going to HOLLYWOOD! ❤️

Frankly, I loved that first performance more, because it felt so personal and warm. I have heard so many ladies screaming their heart out, but beauty lies just as much in a soft warm meaningful presentation as in a powerful performance. Remember that.

I think her tone is great and her range is great, just some parts were off pitch but that could have been because of nerves. I think with some coaching and learning to be more comfortable she’ll be amazing!!

Jazz tones are so cool. They don't play pop world or country world but they are so important to our musical culture and with some practice cross genre she could kill it.

Yeah, crying a lot too! What a brave loving heart her sissi has. I personally loved Athena's first song, beautiful old jazzy sound and tone, I actually preferred the 1st song to the next. In my opinion she showed she had what it takes to be on Idol right off the bat. So glad she did go through!

Older sister has some sadness in her. Prayed for her emotional healing.

I honestly thought what she did on the first song was the best female vocals I’ve heard on this show! Such an amazing tone even higher up, none of that shouting that gets so tiring so fast

i'm a father of 3 kids and i dont easily shed a tear, but the relationship between sisters going the water works going for me. So beautiful how younger sister looks up to her big sister. ❤

As someone who suffers from serious anxiety I felt this whole heartedly when you broke out in a red rash deep breath don't let it destroy your future and dreams conquer it fully or it will conquer you !!!!

She is amazing! She did fantastic with the first song. Loved the jazzy tone and the runs. Lovely head voice as well. And that second song? Yikes! She was all over the place but that would be Katy's fault for telling her to get louder. It was a big mess. Never Enough is an extremely hard song to pull off. I think most people would prefer her softer tone. She didn't need a second song at all.

I don't think she's a very strong singer but they are so sweet and respectful and I'm glad she's getting a chance
